It had to be done sadly. I didn't feel like continuing to throw money at that same problem after throwing in a new chain and tensioner.

On the plus, the new ride has more power and better fuel mileage than the CM. I got the automagic that way Yei can drive it if necessary (mostly when I've enjoyed far too many refreshing beverages).

Overall, I'm happy with it. It'll be stock for a short while but I do plan on minor suspension and audio mods. Going to keep it real simple and eventually it'll become the car for the kids when they get their license.

I traded it in.

Update: tensioner is extended out almost an inch which confirms the worst. Damn timing chain stretch. Seriously considering cutting my losses and getting a new ride. The car is stuck in Pensacola away from my tools and I just don't have the time to fix the fucking thing not to mention other busted shit I found.

Back OT, had a CEL. Code was p0341 but the car has been fine. Cleared it and will monitor.

Well, got this code again. Everything I'm reading about it points to a timing chain stretch problem which means I have to replace that along with the tensioner real soon. Fan-fucking-tastic.

So I picked up a spare valve cover the other day and spent the weekend cleaning it up and throwing some fresh paint and clear on it. I then violated it.

Good times.

This literally haunts my dreams! I drove my Accord today that is a rarity in it self of late.

Sounds like the infamous plug ejection issue.

You mean the issue with the plug coming lose or the one with it not getting enough fuel?

Whichever applies. I've got a shitty 4 banger without those issues so I'm only guessing.
