This just happened to me last week,  I live in Queens - near Elmhurst

I was parked in a GATED DRIVEWAY at a friend's house.  Its crazy.   

Drove out the next morning to see a honda CRV bumper's ripped off just like mine - parked on the street.

Seeing as this thread is a few months old, its still going on
