yeah i've seen that thread too. i got most of my inspiration from the s2k guys though. 17x9's looks really nice on those cars. I'm seriously considering getting the 18x9's but i just got these...
Thanks man. I have to say that the 17x9 +45 is a nice fit, but I'm really thinking hard about going to 18x9's.
FWIW - Hankook V12's are really nice tires. Think they are especially good for CM's. Sporty and good looking but quiet and comfortable. Maybe not the top end in performance but have a ton of fun factor. Also pretty light so they work well with the rpf1's. Highly recommended.
They're Enkei RPF1's. 15.9lbs each in 17. With tires I'm looking at 40.9lbs per wheel/tire. I wanted the 18's but they only come in a +35 on the 9" width. The narrower widths have a different face which I don't like as much. I know this sounds dumb, but the car looks much better in person. The stance looks pretty aggressive cause of the width. I wish I didn't have the front tire poke but I didn't wanna run staggered. I'll post better pics after the holidays. Gotta flight to catch on Sunday.
Thanks everyone for the welcome. Right after I lowered it, I thought "damn this is pretty low". 4 days later I'm thinking, "damn am I going 4 wheeling?". Seriously though, bay area road's suck a fat one. Going lower will be a rough ride around here. Style Hurts.
07 coupe. Neuspeed supercup sport at the lowest perch. According to neuspeed should be 2.25" F 2" R. wheels RPF1 17x9 +45. tires 255 / 40. According to wheel tire calc, 255/40 is .5" smaller than the stock 215/50 i have on now. more concerned that the .5" of wheel gap is gonna be fugly.
installing the new rims this evening. i'm worried the fit is going to suck though. does anyone else get that nervous feeling before installing their new rims? actually, i think the fit will be ok, its the drop that won't be enough.
Well here are some pics. Car's dirty and these aren't great pics.
