If you're worried about damaging your factory wiring, then you will probably want to pick up a relay harness for the bulbs. That way, you won't damage your stock wiring and the relay harness will be able to handle the additional current draw from those bulbs.

And wouldn't "theoretically" a fuse blow before any damage occurred? I mean it's a 6 amp increase between the two bulbs. 2.91 per side.

I don't like the off the shelf ones as there's only one relay and it feeds from one side so if something were to happen to the fuse for that side, you lose both lights.
