It's been a few years since I've hosted a meet.  Now that I moved to a bigger place in a new part of the country, it's time to get something set up.  I'm thinking it would be best to set this up one weekend in either June or July.  For those that are interested in traveling out here, I'm in the Dayton area and can accommodate about 8-10 people (maybe more) that want to spend the night.

I've set up anew poll thread for the dates in June for 2013.  Please vote and post in the new thread if you're interested in coming out.

Yes.  I live north of Dayton.  4th of July is a date that I am specifically avoiding.  I've updated the OP with available weekends.  We won't vote on it just yet, since I'm just trying to get a feeler on a broad range of dates.  I'd like to have my car back together and tuned for this meet.

Close to the airport in Dayton?

Yes.  I'm about 15 minutes away from Dayton Airport.  Another option would be to fly into either Columbus or Cincinnati on Friday and I can arrange my schedule to work near by so I can pick you up at the end of the day.

That might work... I just think it might be more economical to fly considering gas prices and 13 or so hours of driving.

That's fine man.  I just hope that I have my car on the road so I can pick you up in it.

We will see how it goes... Its a little way off anyhow, and I'm a major faliure when it comes to planning.

I think this sounds like an awesome idea.  I can make it to Dayton from my house in about 45min to an hour.  As far as weekends go, I am pretty open, just need to know as far in advance as possible but the last 2 weekends in July would probably work best for me.

Also, if anyone is flying in and the flight to Columbus is cheaper, I can obvious pick people and up drive them out to Dayton since I will have some extra room in my car.

Really? 45 minutes? It takes me at least an hour to get home from Hilliard. I'm out in Columbus right now. I'll time it again wen I drive home tonight.

Well I suppose I should be more specific, that was from downtown Columbus to Beavercreek and I kinda drive a little fast.  Last time I wasn't driving it did take about an hour or so.

That's cool Mike.  Moving to the new place in a few days.  Hopefully I'll be able to get everything moved and set up before the end of the week so I can spend the rest of my time off to start building my motor.  Anyway, I can always set up more than one meet too.  Maybe one at the end of June and another at the end of July.  I just want to have my car done for one of them.

Ben, it took me 1:15 to get home from Hilliard.  I usually don't go over 70.  I'm about 30 minutes away from Beaver Creek.

Right on Chris.  I'm thinking I may just want to have bi-weekly or monthly BBQ meets at my place this summer, but try and have one big event where as many people come out.  Maybe the schedule will be like this starting in the end of May?

Same here, I should be around for most of June/July/August.  The only weekend i know I will be gone is June 22-24.

The way things are turning out with this fucking motor build and front end rebuild, my car probably won't be ready until August.  I'll have to ride shotgun in somebody's car if we cruise anywhere.

Time to bump this thread since we're well into 2013. Lets get this shit planned. I'm thinking June would be pretty good this year. The weather should be nice and it won't be too hot. Nothing really going on in June for me, so it would be perfect.

I'm going to have to count myself out as of now. Since I'm in school and wifey is going to leave work by the end of the month, the budget is going to be tight.

I want to go to this, but thinking realistically I have no idea when we'll be moving. And we're eternally tight on cash as well, i'll have to see what the year brings. Hopefully goodies :)

I know it's good to plan ahead but seems like it may be too far in advance right now. 

As for me, I'm always pretty flexible.
