Title: Richie's PCDs and J pipe
Post by: accordguy04 on June 03, 2011, 10:36:17 AM
Hey everybody and Nelson ;),

I've been lookin into Richie's V3 PCDs and J pipe, and found some info about the gains on the J pipe (13/7 peak whp/wtq) but was wondering if any one has actually dyno'd and seen the gains of installing both.  I was thinkin a gain of about 30 whp?  How'd this number sound to you?

30 HP sounds a bit outlandish to me but, I'm not expert.

Well like I said, RV6' website claims 13 peak whp from J pipe on an Auto TL, so it should be a little bit more on my 6MT Accord.  And I think I heard the the PCDs put out about 15 whp, but don't quote me on that cause I can't remember where I saw/heard it.  So I figure with the two together, it should be atleast 30 whp.  Lets just see if someone else will chime in.

Maybe the J35, and J32 respond better to this because of the greater displacemnt of the engine.

Could be...  All I'm sayin is I made 221 whp with just the CAI and CBE, if I could put the PCDs and J pipe on and hit an even 250 whp?  I'd be happier than a pig in shit and prolly be done with the bolt ons... until I found more ;)

I'd bet you don't see 250 from those two mods... God bless you if you do but, I doubt it.

PM NVA_AV6 (Paul), and ask about it now. He is super busy, and if you PM him now you can work out the details. Maybe send him the cost of materials and then pay him the rest when you are ready.

I got em all installed and the car feels and sounds great.  My next question to anyone that has the PCDs installed is... have any trouble getting inspected?  I haven't had a CEL come on, but you can def smell a difference.

When I lived in pa they didn't do emissions inspection, just visual.  But I think that depends by county.  You're in Bethlehem right.
