Title: Re: Light Bulb Guide Post by: timot_one on February 07, 2009, 10:43:39 PM This was information that we got from the old g7a. Fortunately, we have access to the archives. Unfortunately, the database that was built up over the years has now been discarded and traded in for a social network.
Title: Re: Light Bulb Guide Post by: MyNameIsThien on February 07, 2009, 11:18:11 PM What Tim said. Actually, this was one of my original stickies from the old G7A. I actually just copied and paste it from another place, but I can't remember where.

Low Beam - 9006 (HB4) (51W) High Beam – 9005 (HB3) (60W) Fog Lights (oem accessory) Coupe & Sedan – H11 (55W) :lamp: So what would happen if I replace the low beams and fog lights with 35W bulbs....? Curious cuz im getting new HIDs for my lows and getting a set for my fogs and they got some cheap ass no big name hid kits 55W and the ones my brother got in his 00' Civic are bright as hell white but 35W. Title: Re: Light Bulb Guide Post by: CrackerTeg on April 04, 2011, 09:56:19 AM Halogen wattage and HID wattage don't actually dictate the lumens the respective bulb puts out. On that note, please, please don't put a PnP kit in your headlights. I'm not going to go into why as that horse is hamburger meat now from the multiple beatings its gotten.

Not sure where your going with that but I have a pnp setup in my lows for 3 1/2 years now. I wanna get a set for my fogs now. Question still not answered :P Title: Re: Light Bulb Guide Post by: CrackerTeg on April 04, 2011, 04:23:17 PM Really? I thought you had the OEM halogens in there. That's what I get for thinking.

Title: Re: Light Bulb Guide Post by: DreaminAccord on February 07, 2013, 04:29:31 PM Stab in the dark here but does anyone know the answer to this...
I am buying an OEM Navi system from an '06 Sedan. Mine being a coupe, I hate the whitish-green illumination and it will clash with my orange so I will be swapping out the bulbs but...one question regarding the LEDs... (http://i1056.photobucket.com/albums/t377/DreaminAccord/Accord-Radio-Circ-Board_zpsaf1ed86d.jpeg) UPDATE: I have talked to Martin and he has assured me that all of the illumination is produced by the cap covered halogen bulbs and no LEDs. So I'm hoping that this is accurate and that I can just swap my coupe's orange caps with the blue caps that are on the Navi unit - instead of having to mess with desoldering and resoldering the LEDs shown above. I will get a definite answer when I receive the Navi unit from Long and will let y'all know in case someone else is looking to do this mod :) |
