Title: balding?? Post by: Rustywaffle on May 12, 2009, 05:30:59 PM hey guys, I 'm embarrassed to say that at the ripe age of 20 I have found myself balding. It doesn't particularly run in my family, and I don't know why it's happening so early.... Well probably cause i shave my head bald every summer.. but still.
I also decided to grow some gnarly mutton chops and since my hair isn't so thick and full on my face, I decided to aid in that situation by buying some rogaine. just curious, how many of you guys are balding, and have u done anything about it? Have any of you used rogaine, and to what success? Title: Re: balding?? Post by: Mike on May 12, 2009, 05:42:34 PM My hair line is slipping and I don't give a shit lol
Title: Re: balding?? Post by: timot_one on May 12, 2009, 06:00:13 PM My friend used to worry about going bald back in the day when we were 14 years old because he had a widows peak. Sad to say, he has worried about it since he was a teenager and is bald now. I think I still have all my hair because nobody has mentioned that I have a bald spot yet.

Post by: Skippy on May 12, 2009, 06:55:47 PM A good friend of mine started losing his hair when we were pre-teens, and by the time we reached high school he was bald...I have no idea why it happened. I've had friends with receding hair lines very young and it's very weird. I'd start shaving my head now. Have you seen your doctor about it?

Title: Re: balding?? Post by: Mr Eazy on May 12, 2009, 07:44:23 PM I say there is nothing to worry about. if you go bald, shave it off. Since you already shave your head for the summer, make it year round process.
I currently have hair longer than some women do. Don't laugh, I'm in the process of donating it for locks of love, but am starting to notice a slight bald spot starting. Since balding runs in my fam, mine will be shaved off soon enough. Good luck with this and don't let it bother you too much. Title: Re: balding?? I dont think anyone has seen you without a cap on to notice. I dont know if balding is due to stress, but I remember hearing that it was hereditary on the mother's father side of the gene pool or some shit like that. My pops told me he didnt start balding till in his early 20's and I'm way past that age with all my hair for now. Title: Re: balding?? I think that saying is bs cause my moms dad and my dad are both bald as can be. im 26 and still have a thick head of hair. Title: Re: balding?? Post by: Blackhawk on May 13, 2009, 08:29:07 AM If you noticed some thinning in your crown area now, jump on Rogaine and you may just have nipped it in the bud. I started noticing some thinning in the same area when I was 21, and 8 years later still got my hair back there thanks to those chemicals in it. I have a "mature" hairline as they call it but I'm glad to have some hair. My dad is the only one with some hair out of his two brothers which are cue ball heads. Don't listen to all the old wives tales about "mothers side/father's side genes". The gene phenomenon can extend back full centuries. I have an aunt that aquired a kidney malfunction that was only present in her great great grandfather. Regardless of the matter, you will realize how unimportant hair becomes as you move forward through life. The most important part is to not waste too much time worrying about it. Instead try getting out there and living life to the fullest. You'll be alright :)

But, as time went on I grew to accept it, and now I don't even think about it. It's not worth it. Keep your head up bald or not and try to realize that it's your personality that draws in the people around you not your physical appearence. Title: Re: balding?? Post by: ROLO on May 13, 2009, 11:53:07 AM One of my coworkers is bald and he is only 22 (but he is going to DR in a few weeks to get surgery)... my brother is 31 and his hair just started to thin out (So now he has me thinking) ... problem w/ Rogaine is the minute you stop using it.. your hair falls out more... seek a professional.
