I had it. I thought i noticed a difference in response time, but not sure if that was imaginary. I still have the dampener, dunno what i did with the brackets. If your at all able to make your own brackets you can have the dampener for free +shipping.

If your interested, im frequently down in PA we could meet up somewhere and you could save on shipping, and i wouldnt have to go into a post office. (I hate those places)

I had it for a while.....piece of sh*t, not worth the money~~don't get it~~get a grounding kit or something~~or you really want it~~~get the TL-S and CL-S front and rear dampeners~~

I strongly disagree. It reduces engine movement, and if it saves you one motor mount it's paid for it self.

A damper is a device that deadens, restrains, or depresses.

Damper may refer to:

Dashpot, a type of hydraulic or mechanical damper,
Shock absorber (British or technical use: damper), a mechanical device designed to dissipate kinetic energy
In electronics, a kind of diode, intended to absorb energy peaks, normally generated by inductive circuitry

P got you on that one bro. What is it you mean by a "real" damper pigpig?

Pig I have a feeling that the reason it doesn't do shit for you is because of all the power and torque your 3.5 has.  For us with mostly bolt-ons and what not, I would think it would work quite effectively.

It's all dependent on the user who reviews it...some people love them...some people don't think they work.  I will agree that the ETD does not do a WHOLE LOT...but it's not non-existent...Your motor mounts will do a better job of keeping your engine in place.  I'm working with Innovative to develop a mount kit for the I4 bunch.

Mine busted.  I think it was a waste of money.  I wish someone made a real damper, instead of that garbage Ingalls is passing off as a damper.

They do. Sean on V6P performance was selling it. It works well and very little increase in noise. It keeps the motor from rocking too much.

Any links Ken?  I don't really go on v6p at all.

That's the same thing as the Ingalls damper.  It's not a real damper.  A real torque damper is like a shock found in your suspension.

Comin back to this one...

@Misha, how did it make the engine louder?

Title: Re: Ingals engine torque damper
Post by: Mike on November 15, 2011, 02:20:05 PM
It's not increased engine noise but, probably increased noise in the cabin due to vibration from the engine not moving as much.

imagine as if you put stiffer engine mounts. you feel engine vibrations more in cabin. so noice increases as well. its kinda annoying untill engine warms up and you out of first 2 gears.
