I wanted to get plenty of notice out for this one.  I am hoping to get all the Miami boys up for this one as well as everyone from N. Florida.  I wanna put together a FLCM Poker Tournament and this seems like a perfect opportunity!

When: Saturday, May 30th, 2009 at 5:00PM
What: Poker Tournament/BBQ/Pool Party
Where: My House in Tampa, FL
Who: All FLCM needs to be here
Why: Because who doesn't love poker, grilled food, booze, and pools?

Poker:
 - Standard No-Limit Texas Hold-Em (the kind on TV so everyone should know how to play).  
 - $20 Buy-In (we can do more or less depending on how many people come)

Payouts will be as follows:
1st - 70%
2nd - 20%
3rd - 10%

Schedule:
People can start arriving at any time (for those of you who have a long drive).  The pool will be open and the booze will be flowing.

5pm - Grill will be lit and food cooked
6:30pm - Poker starts

As people get eliminated from Poker, the pool will be open, Xbox360 will be on (NCAA '09, Halo 3, Halo Wars, NFS: MW + Undercover), Beer Pong will be going, and good times by all.

Food:
I will provide the meat and condiments.  All I ask is that people bring their own booze and munchies to share with the group.  (JT has no choice, CrackDip FTMFW!)

Those from Orlando who are attending this, I need you guys on this morning to attend the Cars and Cafe event in Heathrow. It is from 9am to 11am, so it should have NO interference on this at all. See my post in the regional forum and need you guys to attend. I think you will love it and seeing as this is only two hours, early in the morning, I think it should be no problem and no interference. I went to it yesterday (orlandoautomotiveclub.com) and then drove to St. Pete for HIN by 4pm. With still time to relax in between.

Skippy, Steve, Mike you guys would love it.

I work that night, so no way for me to make it over there. Just being up front. I can't request off as the other managers have already requested vacation time, so no way for me to switch as there is no one to switch with.

I'm not trying to cop out I just have a lot going on and it would be better if I didn't take off a day from work right now.  I just got done with finals so I have just about 2 weeks to decompress and compile myself before I start up for the summer term....unfortunately the Forensic Science major is one of the few majors at UCF that has required classes during the summer...  I only hope I passed Analytical Chemistry and Physics with Calculus II...

i will request the day off from work, when i go in tommorrow.... if i get it off, i will for sure be coming...

Yo Ben. I'll be sure to tell Paul I need the night off before he tries to schedule me for it. I'm pretty excited to meet up with everyone again knowing how long I've been away from the whole scene. It will be especially nice to see Mike and his car again, which I have not seen in a few years! Almost the same story with Sean, so I can't wait. It may be a sore subject for some that attended the last poker night, but as a reminder, I did take home first place then. I like my chances next week on the larger pot!

Skippy. When are you going over to Ben's? The reason I ask is that I might be able to come to this now!!! What I am curious to find out is if I can catch a ride with someone that is coming from Orlando that will be coming back to Orlando no later then 12-1pm the next day? If so, I will be coming.

UPDATE:

I NEED ANYONE WHO CAN ARRIVE EARLY TO DO SO.  BASED ON THE # OF PEOPLE WE ARE GOING TO HAVE TO DO 2 SEMI-FINAL TABLES, THEN THE TOP 4 FROM EACH TABLE WILL HAVE A FINAL TABLE.  

IF I CAN GET 7-8 TOTAL THERE BY 3 OR SO WE CAN GET GOING EARLY.  If not, no biggie we might just be playing poker till 4am.

Also, I will be sending out PM's with my address and directions.  If you don't get on here a lot, PM me your cell # and I will get ahold of you that way.

I found out today that I have to work my second job on Saturday at 5pm. The good news is that I can likely get out earlier than close time and still be at Ben's at a decent time. I'm coming no matter what, make no mistake. I want to see everyone again and it will be a sweet party. I just may miss poker depending on the time.

So here is the latest update from me. I spoke with Skip yesterday. Ultimately, it is going to come down to me getting done everything I need to today for work, before Skip leaves Orlando to head west. Originally I was working on Saturday. Then I requested off, got it approved so I figured I was in, then some shit hit the fan with extra unexpected needs for my job and they never, ever call me in, so when they do, it is urgent and I want/need to help. Therefore, I am going to Cars and Cafe this morning, hang out there for a few hours, then I will be headed home for a bit, going out to work and hopefully getting everything I need done, done. If so and it is before Skip gets out of work where I can swing a ride with him, then I am down. If not, then I won't be there. SO...to be continued. In advance, if I am not able to make it, I hope you guys have a blast, if I do make it, watch out. I like me some poker ;)

That Shelby Series 1 is sweet, Scott. I wish I could have gone, but I worked until 2am this morning and slept in. It would be a 2hr drive, so I wouldn't have made it.

Well, doctors final orders were to stay at home with bed rest till Monday to make sure my anemia does not interfere with my activities, specially driving. I feel terrible about not going to this highly anticipated event but at best it was just real bad timing with me getting sick. Have a great time and take lots of pictures guys!!!
