Title: Re: passenger side window makes screeching noise Post by: timot_one on April 22, 2009, 10:40:11 PM Clean the track and use some shin-etsu grease (http://www.bernardiparts.com/Shin-Etsu-Grease__08798-9013.aspx) to lube it up. That will clear up your problem.
Title: Re: passenger side window makes screeching noise Post by: fabulous010 on April 22, 2009, 11:41:01 PM i have some silicon spray with me. i will clean the track and spray some of that stuff on. if that doesnt work ill try to get me some grease.. thanx elite
Title: Re: passenger side window makes screeching noise Post by: timot_one on April 23, 2009, 12:13:31 AM I'd skip the silicone spray. They use the shin etsu grease on the track from the factory, so there's no reason why you should do otherwise.

Title: Re: passenger side window makes screeching noise Post by: Skippy on April 23, 2009, 02:00:04 PM I second Timmy's remedy. Shin-etsu grease is very persistant and will keep the track well lubricated. If you have window tint and still experience a scraping noise, it's because you have particulates caught in the dew strip that are scratching against the tint. The most common cause for squeaky windows is a poorly lubricated track. Using silicone spray before the shin-etsu grease will decrease its effectiveness and should be avoided. Use a small paint brush to slop the stuff inside the track and then wipe the excess away after cycling the window a few times.
