I use limewire, sometime it is hit and miss, sometimes it works great. If you use limewire make sure your anti-virus software is working well

If you are going to do lime wire; use frost wire. It is not as well known and there is smaller chance you will get a virus. I used to use stimusic.org, but I got kicked off because I was a leech. I know some people who use piratebay.com. It is supposedly really good.

thepiratebay.org......

If you use torrents and do not upload your speed actually decreases.... Trust me I know from experience... it used to take me about 4 hrs to download a 700mb file.... Now with the same connection after a butt load of seeding 15 mins and it's done .... I'm assuming some mod is gonna close this soon..

+1 to itunes better to pay the small fee, and keep it legal. Also my local cable provider provides a service call Rhapsody that is pretty good

All I've used for the last 3 years is Limewire with no issues.  After I've downloaded Utorrent I go to isohunt.com to download movies then I use my Ps3 as a media server and copy the movies to the hard drive.

 +mininova(all-around)
 +isohunt(music)
 +demonoid(movies)
 +thepiratebay(porn)
 +mixfiend(mixtapes; generally rap/hiphop)

on rare occasions:

+packetfinder (they haven't been that great in a few years)

Screw keeping it legal. The music industry needs to reform itself and it is on the brink of revolution. A lot of artists have decided to break from major record labels and release their music independently, and have still made sufficient money off donations or merchandise. Radiohead is one example. When their last album came out you could choose to download it for free or pay a donation of what you thought the music was worth. It worked out damn well and that's how I see the future of the music industry. With the technology available today any artist can make a clean recording, so the idea of giving a company the rights to the music you made and letting them take the money that you should be making is absurd. Personally when I release my new CD this year it will be free to download and people will be sent rewards such as hard copies of CDs and merchandise for donating certain amounts.

^ I agree. If they were to start making quality music again people like myself wouldn't mind paying money.  But with all this bullshit floating around right now I def dont want to risk putting $10-13 out there for a 12 song shitty album because if I download it for free then I've lost nothing.
