Title: alignment Post by: fabulous010 on March 26, 2009, 01:12:24 PM my car need an alignment pretty bad. im installing the TL-S rear sway this weekend. i want to get an alignment today. should i wait till after the mod?

Before the rear sway install I had the car aligned a few months prior. To be safe I would install the sway bar and then get your alignment done. Matter of fact, there's actually no tension on it at all until there's lateral movement. I don't think your RSB caused your premature tire wear IMHO. It could possibly be because you may have done the same thing a lot of us do with a new part and started thrashing. I know I did.

Though if you have the option of doing your alignment before or after...why not play it safe and do it after. I dunno... The front sway bar on the other hand will require an alignment. Only parts related to your alignments IE: control arms, struts, tie rods, knuckle, and hub bearing will require an alignment after replacing. The rear sway bar or stabilizer bar is to help prevent body roll and prevent any type of flexing to your suspension components and chassis. |
