Title: Philly Steve dives into the world of HDR (56k yeah right) Post by: Philly Steve on March 26, 2009, 03:54:09 AM So my dad let me borrow his Canon Rebel XTi, and I snapped a few bracketed shots of my car and just got a program to make tone maps for HDR photos. I'll be playing with this thing a lot now. 8-)

My buddy who's a photographer recommended it to me. his work is at http://www.jcsimmersdesign.com (http://www.jcsimmersdesign.com) i'm sure he'd like for people to check it out Title: Re: Philly Steve dives into the world of HDR Post by: Milan on March 26, 2009, 12:41:27 PM More pictures!!
Yeah, HDR will reveal any kind of flaw that's why I have to spend a couple of minutes cleaning the paint in Photoshop with the healing brush. I'm going to have to check that program out. Haven't heard of it, I've just been using Photomatix for my shots. Again, more pictures! Something that includes the sky this time! I asked my friend if he used Photomatrix and he said he found this program to be more efficient/effective something along those lines. Try it out lemme know what you think Milan ![]() Title: Re: Philly Steve dives into the world of HDR Post by: Milan on March 26, 2009, 12:53:50 PM Quote from: "Philly Steve" I asked my friend if he used Photomatrix and he said he found this program to be more efficient/effective something along those lines. Besides, the options in Photomatix can be quite complex and confusing, these look more user-friendly. I'll check it out when I have some time to kill and let y'all know what I think! Title: Re: Philly Steve dives into the world of HDR Post by: Philly Steve on April 19, 2009, 01:45:22 AM Yeah I really like how they came out. Surprisingly those 3 were all shot with my 2004 EOS Digital Rebel that has been dwelling in my closet for months now. I NEVER KNEW it had an Auto-Exposure Bracketing setting. (facepalm)
You want them bigger, you got it. Flickr should definitely show images larger :( These are hosted on my site. (http://forgottencitizen.com/HDRFRONT.jpg) (http://forgottencitizen.com/HDRTRIMCENTER.jpg) (http://forgottencitizen.com/HDRTRIMLEFT.jpg) now i notice in the first one you can see all the red tape from the back of the double sided tape i used for my trim panels. I was lazy and threw it all on the ground. You can see the alcohol i used to clean my dash too...lol. I did pick it all up later.
