Title: Performance or show?
Post by: Moessteezy on May 02, 2013, 05:35:20 AM
What are your plans for your accord? Are you more performance oriented? Or do you like to ride low & slow?

And for those who want a mixture of the two. Do you sometimes have a hard time deciding what mod to do next?

My preference is stock.  Seriously.  :)

Performance while being aesthetically pleasing. It's no secret that I've been spending most of my money on performance stuff lately. I have a few exterior mods up my sleeve. I'm going for the sleeper/stock+ look though. So don't expect anything outrageous like that herrafrush bullshit.

More for show... as I like to ride "low & slow" especially with my new upgrades I will being doing shortly ....but I have some small upgrades under the hood to give me that relaxing feeling when I step on the gas alittle  ;)

Performance while being aesthetically pleasing.

I would say this is what I'm interested in.   But I would also add that whatever goes on the car has to be functional.  As an example, if a splitter were on the car, it would need to be a functional nose splitter.

I'm going for show because i'm still learning about performance. I'm off to a shaky start with a beat up car but whateves... lol gotta start somewhere ;) Plus being an artist i like things that are visually stunning ...except egg foo young. I like egg foo young and it looks like chunder ...

I am going to a mixture of both.  Something that is visually unique, but also has some ability when I step on the gas pedal.

I want to do more performance mods, but already having Intake, J pipe, and Exhaust...the only bolt-ons left for the J series are pulleys & pre-cat deletes.  Everything else is custom.  So I have done a lot more visual mods instead.  Eventually though, boost will happen.

Chunder - Australian slang for vomit.

I want more performance but its hard starting off with a 4cyl automatic .The aesthetic looks are just a lot cheaper than my performance plans lol.

I pretty much am aiming for mostly stock everything now. I don't have the time or patience anymore with school getting harder and harder. I do prefer the minor mods though, like a strut tower bar, rear sway bar, larger front calipers. It's also been hard for me lately to motivate myself to do shit to my car because of how disappointing the 4 cylinder automatic is. I've come to realize that I just want to have my Accord take me from point A to B.

Hence why I've been looking around for TSX's. I think that car is more in tune with what I am expecting.

Truth.  I don't even wash mines now.  :D... My next car is gonna have performance AND "show" in stock form.  Have your cake and eat it too??  Why not...  :)

Probably one of the best things I've read on this forum.  There's always room for personalization, though.
