Title: Occasional backfire at WOT, throws no codes.
Post by: 06RockHead on February 25, 2013, 09:21:18 PM
So occasionally after cruising when I open the car up at a stop light it will back fire going 1st - 2nd or from a roll 2nd - 3rd. It hasn't  thrown a code or any light, and I've checked most things. Some insight and assistance would be great.

Humm, how has fuel economy been lately, noticed any dramatic loos of effiency? A exhaust backfire is usually caused by bad timing, but that would throw a cel, bad injector squirting mad fuel to wher it detonates hitting the cat, or a bad exhaust valve.

Fuel economy is great. If I'm not in it all the time and the car defiantly runs the way it should. And I'll throw you a loop the sound comes from the intake. . .
