Title: How to UNinstall a RF 360.1 Post by: ikethegreat on November 07, 2012, 09:07:06 AM I want to uninstall my 360.1. As most of you probably know, I had an incompetent shop install my system years ago. I've been trying to learn to do this stuff myself but I don't want to screw anything up so I figured I would ask before I started yanking out wires.
Basically I just need to know what needs to be unplugged and if anything needs to be plugged in elsewhere. I've taken pictures of everything so I hope that helps. Basically depending one which route your going, still running a processor or stock ?

The rear speaker wires appear to go directly from the speakers and into the amp. It doesn't looks like they have been tapped into at all but I will double check. Basically depending one which route your going, still running a processor or stock ? I do not want to run a processor anymore. I plan to upgrade my HU soon and wish to be able to do all my tinkering through there. I guess the only part I'm a bit confused about is what wires I'm supposed to use to hook the amp to the head unit. You said to run RCA wires but it doesn't look like the HU has anywhere to plug them into. :(

(http://i230.photobucket.com/albums/ee257/ikethegreat/wires0044.jpg) So using the picture above, what I need to do is disconnect 1 (wires from 360), 2 (same), and 3 (wires for front and rear speakers ran from amp)? Then reattach 4 and 5? What after that? The aftermarket head unit will connect to the oem harness but since your using a amp you will run its rca's to the amp and from the amp back to the speakers

There doesn't appear to be anywhere on the HU to plug in RCA cables from the amp. You'll probably end up being unhappy with the results anyway. Wait until you get a new head unit, then pick up some decent RCA's to run from the head unit to your amp.
