Title: Traded the Accord in and a goodbye to Elitecm.net Post by: BliNx197 on March 08, 2009, 02:23:38 PM To those who Ive grown close to over the years on this forum and to those who even care just sending a quick update and saying goodbye to the Accord community. I appreciate all the help and all that has been done here, I hope you all continue to stay close on this forum and modify your rides cleanly.
I traded my Accord in yesterday for a ride thats more suited for my Lifestyle and Taste. Part of me teared up driving it into the Dealer's Garage for the last time :'( But s far as the Accord goes, with all of the upgrades, repairs and modifications to the car it was shaking itself to pieces and more of an eyesore than a well tuned machine. Furthermore it would've been nearly impossible to return it to its glory days. I have no regrets about the mods I did, I just wish I had been more prudent with them and realized a car is transportation first. In the end the time value outweighed the monetary value of even parting the car out. Title: Re: BliNx197's Profile Post by: BliNx197 on May 03, 2009, 01:56:51 PM This is our official stance on the situation!
F#$K!!!! As previously posted Blackout was having oiling problems, mainly low oil pressure. Upon discovery of other engine malfunctions which shall remain anonymous the proposed "C-Day" is being postponed. Due to these unfortunate circumstances Blackout shall remain N/A until a time when we can determine what is best for him. In the mean time we will be gathering funds towards our next project! When we reach an appropriate time all prior and current information will be released. Information on future plans will be syphoned as seen fit. What we can tell you about our current project is: it has yet to be named. It is not being implemented for performance purposes but will once again be a 1st for 7.5 Gens. As of now estimated completion time is early June. We will not be taking any questions at this time. Title: When life hands you lemons you clone them and make supah lem Post by: BliNx197 on May 22, 2009, 08:54:59 PM k20z3/k24a2/k24a8/k20a2 build for Blinx197, built and installed by NVA-AV6
So about a month ago I went to Paul's place to drop my car off to install my JRSC. The night before I told him I was having oil pressure problems. He expressed worry when he heard this and asked me why I never mentioned it before. Replying I said my dealership told me it was because the engine was low on oil, that is why I was having these problems (the first week I had the car) So since then I had chalked every Low Oil Pressure light prior to this event up to my engine being low on oil. This whole turn of events led Paul to perform a compression test on my engine. The results deemed unfavorable for the Supercharger. It turns out this LEMON had been made worst by myself who thought it was cool to attempt to street tune on my own! (needless to say Ive learned from that experience) So Cylinders 1,3s compression came in at a wooping average of 115psi. 130 is the factory minimum! After performing a wet test we discovered it was the cylinder rings due to my F+F efforts to get more power(Lesson learned dont street tune!) and the decision was up to me to install the Blower that day. I decided against it with Paul's advice in mind that I would be back in a month with a completely destroyed engine block, so dawned the frank idea. Ive had a k20z3 head sitting in my basement for about a year that I needed to do something with in addition the fact that I planned on swapping to a k24a2 down the road made this a no brainer! Paul showed me the prices of the parts and I went to work collecting $$$. Here are the parts and a few specs Engine: Ported k20z3 (Civic Si) Head w/(z1<stock cams<type R) k24a2 (TSX) Type A Pistons and Rods k24a8 Block Honed and Bored to .06mm k20a2 (02-04 RSX-S) Oil Pump (modified), chain and chain guide k20a2 Block Girdle k24 Rebuild Gasket Kit k24 Crank Journals Should be runing about a 10.5 cr Misc: TL-S front Sway bar AEM UEGO Wide-band Gauge AEM Boost Gauge (for later) AEM Oil Pressure Gauge BLOX Oil Sandwich Adapter AEM F/IC and Boomslang Harness Going to be tuned at Ptuning in Manassas 6.2/3.09 Ill keep you all posted People are posting 220+whp #s at 8500 redlines, due to the F/IC ill only have 6500 so unfortunately the expectation is lowered for now. Expecting 180+whp which is about 210chp. Wish me luck! and obviously the blower, aftercooler, clutch and the addition of F+/Kpro is in the future First 7.5 Gen Frank! ![]() (http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs017.snc1/4228_512655786999_46800507_30500464_715809_n.jpg) (http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs017.snc1/4228_512655861849_46800507_30500479_4423083_n.jpg) Title: Re: BliNx197's Profile Post by: BliNx197 on May 24, 2009, 11:37:44 PM New pics

Im quite broke at the moment and Ill prolly just use a bolt-ons k24a2 w/45 deg VTC gear basemap n adjust accordingly by AFR then prolly have it dynoed to give u all an idea of what its making. I put a down payment on tuning at Ptuning a few months back so yea! They SHOULD take that as a payment for dynotime since its the same amount

Title: Re: [Profile] BliNx197 - k20/k24 New Rims and Tuning on 12/21 Post by: BliNx197 on December 15, 2009, 07:53:37 PM Z, I lost the lip about a year ago in Ocean City when the suspension dipped too low n caught the lip on the ground. Then I pulled in to a parking lot which had a hump at the entrance and tore it off an ran it over,.. either way its too low not to even allow a front lip. Debating on a Body Kit anyways so we'll see in the coming months

I'm also waiting for a few extra parts to show up in January. We can take a quick run for shits and giggles. We'll see if I get down there in a few months on my way to FL. I may take a slow ride down just to hang out with different people from the forum and see some new places I've never visited yet.
Title: Re: [Profile] BliNx197 - k20/k24 211.4 whp Post by: BliNx197 on December 23, 2009, 11:32:51 AM Alright so Ill post up some Dyno graph pics later but the engine with test pipe and an extremely small post cat exhaust flange which will be fixed soon, also a rotting exhaust which will also be replaced
211.4whp and 165lbs.tq. I wasnt exactly impressed with the #s when looking at the graphs, although this was a DynoDynamics Dyno and doing a lil internet searching Ive seen them run anywhere from 10-20% lower than a Dynojet. This specific Dyno at Ptuning has rated Stock STIs at 225awhp and stock ap1 s2000s at 195rwhp to give you an idea of the difference. Also the guy working their said one of his friends with a k20/k24 dynoed at 208whp with the same internals so porting the head and the test pipe mustve helped. Vtec engages at 3800rpms, I know sounds low but it actually makes pretty good tq and pulls strong. the tuner said its alright to move it up about 500rpms if I feel it necessary since the map is tuned for it.3rd gear is soooo damn tall in k24s tho so its kinda hard to downshift n pull unless I go to 2nd, although off the line the car is extremely fun and breaks 80 damn quick. Its drives a bit rough tho since it wasnt street tuned and Im not 100% sure the tuner knew everything he was doing he said he had tuned s2000s before on kpro. Not the same and not the best choice on my part so Ill prolly be retuning here in the future but for now Im just enjoying the car Title: Re: [Profile] BliNx197 - k20/k24 211.4 whp Post by: timot_one on December 23, 2009, 01:26:56 PM Not bad numbers. My VTEC low threshold is at 3000, and I think the high threshold is around 4200. I don't think 3800 is too low, but I'm also not a tuner, so I don't know much. Which shop did you go to?
Title: Re: [Profile] BliNx197 - k20/k24 211.4 whp Post by: Icebox on December 23, 2009, 01:36:33 PM he went to ptuning in manassas
Title: Re: [Profile] BliNx197 - k20/k24 211.4 whp Post by: timot_one on December 23, 2009, 10:20:28 PM This is just a suggestion, but you may want to go to an authorized Hondata dealer since they are all required to have a dyno and know how to tune with Hondata software. I made the same mistake by going to a shop where the tuner didn't know much about kpro, and my performance suffered. If you go to a reputable shop that's authorized by Hondata, you stand a better chance of getting a tuner that actually knows what they're doing.
Title: Re: [Profile] BliNx197 - k20/k24 211.4 whp Post by: BliNx197 on December 24, 2009, 02:32:17 AM No no I felt the same way, unfortunately I had to put a downpayment on a tuning session way back when I thought I was gonna be using the AEM F/IC for the Blower but, I just sold that and have a few other things I need to do so this tune will do for now,.. I mean theres nearly a 13% decrease in a Dyno Dynamics from a Dynojet so by my calculations thats about 235+whp but I agree Tim Ill probably be going to InlinePro after I get my highflow Cat Converter and completely redo my exhaust, maybe put in an aftermarket clutch and the RSX-S flywheel at that time too
Title: Re: [Profile] BliNx197 - k20/k24 211.4 whp Post by: Knocturnal84 on December 24, 2009, 04:39:19 AM hey nice numbers man.....redo the exhaust. My car made 9 more whp from redoing my exhaust. It was really hurting my power wiht the old set up cause of how he made it dual exhaust and wiht the tiny glasspack he put on there. Now its Custom Dc sport SS header with a bigger flex pipe going into a a highflow cat then to a Magnaflow striaght through resonator and then to a real y-pipe
Do you still have your blower up for sale cause i will be in the market soon for a blower? Title: Re: [Profile] BliNx197 - k20/k24 211.4 whp Post by: timot_one on December 24, 2009, 10:01:34 AM I'm sure Inline Pro will be able to do a better job. I'd just make sure to do your research and talk to ther guys that have gone there for tuning. Upgrading your exhaust will also be beneficial. I'm actually looking into doing a few upgrades to my exhaust also. I'm still waiting to hear back from SSR about a header.
