Title: The Accord is NO MOAR! Post by: MyNameIsThien on August 16, 2012, 09:56:34 PM Well, today was the day I sold the Accord. It was a good 9 year run with it, but with all the problems, I just needed to move on. I will still be lurking around helping out where needed. In a couple of weeks, my new car will be in. So stay tuned.
Title: Re: The Accord is NO MOAR! Post by: Mike on August 16, 2012, 09:57:40 PM I think will be in is kind of a give away! Congrats on the sale!
Title: Re: The Accord is NO MOAR! Post by: MyNameIsThien on August 16, 2012, 09:59:29 PM I sold it for cheap because of all the problems it had. It has a tranny code, and CEL on for O2 sensor signal stuck lean B1S1 and B2S1. Tranny code was PO740. Incorrect Gear Ratio. 3rd Gear is BAD! $1200 for a 3rd Gear Set.
Title: Re: The Accord is NO MOAR! Post by: Mike on August 16, 2012, 10:07:59 PM Trust me I know all about the third gear set
Title: Re: The Accord is NO MOAR! Post by: MyNameIsThien on August 16, 2012, 10:19:28 PM Yeah, I couldn't justify putting any more money into this car with all the problems it had. It has the incorrect gear ratio, O2 signal stuck lean, it burns oil, driver's door lock actuator stuck, passanger window motor weak, and so on. It was a PITA to get it back to stock-ish. I let the Accord go for 4k with only 63k original miles.

Title: Re: The Accord is NO MOAR! Post by: timot_one on August 17, 2012, 10:40:12 AM Driving isn't the exact term that should be used in this case. Instead, you should think more of what is he riding.

Title: Re: The Accord is NO MOAR! Post by: gargantula99 on August 17, 2012, 04:16:20 PM Just read an article about how it's a death trap. The 50cc Motor is barely string enough to get up to 30. So it says. Never rode one before so I wouldn't know.
Title: Re: The Accord is NO MOAR! Post by: MyNameIsThien on August 17, 2012, 07:36:57 PM This is what my Ruckus looks like as of right now. I've gotten it past 40 before and 45 on a downhill. They make all sorts of parts for this. Its like the Honda Civic of the Scooters.
So far I've only down the Password JDM frame extension, turn signal relocation, rear fender delete, pcv filter, and side carb filter. I had an exhaust, but the piping was just to big that I needed a re-jet. This cause it to sputter and have no bottem end power. Top end was good. Why did you choose the scion version instead of the Subaru? Just curious. Title: Re: The Accord is NO MOAR! Post by: ikethegreat on August 29, 2012, 08:00:19 AM Sweet ride! I really want one too
Title: Re: The Accord is NO MOAR! Post by: CrackerTeg on August 29, 2012, 08:03:24 AM I've heard mixed reviews about those. I have wanted to drive one just to get a feel for it.

Title: Re: The Accord is NO MOAR! Post by: MyNameIsThien on August 29, 2012, 09:36:19 AM Congrats Thien. Why did you choose the scion version instead of the Subaru? Just curious. The Scion was cheaper by 2-3 thousand. I couldn't justify spending another 2-3 grand for HIDs, navi, and a few other little knick knacks. Per a lot of reviews, the Scion is better around corners while the Subaru tends to understeer. Let alone, I got 1k knocked off the sticker price, and I get a free clear nose mask. Title: Re: The Accord is NO MOAR! Post by: Fanitron on August 29, 2012, 10:39:03 AM Very nice pick up on the FR-S. I would've gone with Scion over the Subaru also..haha IDK, just partial to Toyota (even though I drive a Honda) :D
Title: Re: The Accord is NO MOAR! Post by: HEcreated487 on August 29, 2012, 12:31:30 PM Wow, Ruckus and FR-S??? Fanboy :D... Ikeed, Ikeed.
Nice purchases Thien!! More pix and personal reviews of the FR-S "experience" please. You can go mod happy on both those platforms. |
