So this guy is trying to sell me these fogs for 75...I just need an educated opinion from you guys...I thought these wouldn't fit an 03 coupe? He says it will, that he's had them in his coupe for the past 4 years...does this seem legit? I don't want to get screwed! He's asking 75 for just the lights, no wires and etc....what do you guys think?

those look like the jdm fogs that i have on my sedan, dont think they would work on a coupe.  you can also get those for less $$ from alex.

I don't know, he swears they fit, he's sending me a picture of his coupe with them in it....

They don't fit for a Coupe at all... doesn't matter what year. Unless he magically hacked the shit out of his bumper which I highly doubt. It wouldn't be a simple install even if he did. Watch out for a photoshopped pic of the fogs on  :D

Unless he has a sedan bumper on his coupe they won't fit regular coupe bumper for that stick to OEM lookin ones and they would be cheaper and new

I'm interested in seeing these pics.  Either way, the only other fog light option that I've seen was a guy using a CL/TL fog light back in the day.  They weren't perfect, but it was a good fit.  I have a set of the TL fog lights in my garage.  If you want them to test fit, that's cool with me.  If they fit we can work out a price.  If they don't fit, you can just send them back.  I know I'm never going to use them.

He never sent a pic lol...your offer is most generous...realistically i shouldn't even be thinking about fog lights...

correct me if im wrong but the bottom pic is thien's car which has a 7.5 sedan bumper and in the top pic, the fog lights are upside down so they wouldnt even be focusing light in the right direction.

But yeah the fogs in the top pic are mounted upside down.  But who really installs fogs for the light output?

function over fashion, i installed the fogs for light output because there are deer everywhere were i live. having fog lights makes a big difference in spotting one of those fuckers jumping out of the woods and into the road.

Guess i lean more towards fashion...the curse of being an artist...I see my car as a blank mechanical canvas ;D

So here's a question...i've been talking to my friend Shaun and he gave me a crazy idea...I'm sure this would be expensive, but since I was planning on replacing the hood, the two fenders, the bumper and the lights, would it be possible to do a front end sedan conversion? To get the cool fogs without the misalignment and the gaps? You guys probably already covered this somewhere lol......

yea, easy conversion, may be wrong but the only thing you would need is the bumper and a new grill.

There's a gap under the headlights with a sedan bumper on the coupe, If the full conversion would solve that issue I would consider....

Take a look at Thien's coupe. It has gaps and the conversion you're asking about.

What would be awesome, and would definitely be stepping up the game, is to take the shortfalls of what doesn't quite fit when putting the ASEAN sedan front bumper on a USDM coupe and modify the bumper to make it fit like stock; i.e. make it so any visible gaps aren't there anymore, make it so that mounting holes line up properly, etc..

Well it started with drooling over fog lights that I can't have, and then I was thinking crazy ideas like heating up the plastic on my current bumper (not painted yet) around the lights, to mold it to fit...and I talked to my friend who was like, "why not just convert the whole front to a sedan?" I thought this was crazy, and I read how some people came close...I was wondering if it was worth it, if it could be done, and fit perfect somehow....sorry...I don't want to beat a dead horse...lol

It will fit , I think the only issue with the sedan bumpers on the coupe is just the area by the grill and headlights might not line up 100%. which can be modified anyways

If your only after the dogs it would be easier to mod the fog holes... Good body shop could do it easily

Correct. It would take quite a bit of body work to get a sedan bumper to fit properly. Not really worth it for fog lights IMHO.

The sedan bumper is slightly wider while the coupe is slightly narrow. It will bolt up without any problems, and it does line up with all the holes. Its right where the grill and headlight corner is where the sedan bumper has a slight gap on a coupe body.

I know....it's totally irrational...expensive...and probably never happen...but it's fun to talk about ;)
