Bonjour! Lol i'm going to Canada soon to visit some fam in a few weeks, and I can't help but wonder....are there any accord goodies that I should keep my eye out for in any parts/auto stores while i'm up there? Perhaps things not available here? Was just curious :)

I think it's the other way around :D Canadiens, from what I've seen have a hard time finding good parts at a good price.

Yeah, I see on other accord forums them asking what sites are good to buy OEM Parts from because their dealers charge too much :(

yea, I live in canada and parts are hard to find here and super expensive when found.
i sometimes have to get my buddies who drive down to seattle to pick up some stuff for me.

To the tune of hundreds of $$ difference too. I payed $100 for my TL-S sway bar with brackets to be shipped here from oemacuraparts and the local dealership wanted close to $250 for the same parts... without delivery lol

Just make sure you get some poutine while you're here... that's about the only thing here that you won't get in the US.  :D where in Canada are you visiting? There's lots to see... but nothing worth while buying for someone coming up from the US.

Oh yeah!  They have poutine at McDonald's up there! And they just got Starbucks in the last 5 years or so...still no DD though...we're headed to Quebec, around Charlesbourg area...the part that doesn't like us english speaking folk very much lol....

Meh. Everyone hates Americans. The only thing that Canada has that the US doesn't have when it comes to cars is the Acura CSX. It's basically a Civic with Acura badges. That has been replaced with the ILX, which is available in the US and Canada.

As long as your battery is good, you'll be fine. The most I would ever do is keep it on a battery tender while away for a week.

I usually only start my car on the weekends. It'll be fine of its only a week.

When I was deployed, my car was run every two weeks. No problems.

Poutine is the greatest thing ever invented in Quebec... there's so many kinds too. Now I'm hungry :D

it's all over Canada now... even Harvey's serves poutine (probably the best for fast food style). If you're ever in Toronto, there's a place called "The Poutinery".. yes all they do are poutines. All kinds of toppings.. it's the best!

I usually travel to Windsor since I have family there.

I've seen like 4, 7th gens since i've been up here, all sedans....Dodge is huge up here...they don't know what they're missin.. lol

Yes, that's an Acura CSX.  It's a Civic dressed up in Acura badges.  I know what it's like to miss your car though.  I walk past mine every day and I haven't driven it in over a year.

Been there with the missing the car feeling. I couldn't even drive it while I was home on r&r because my brother was driving it. That bothered me even more.

I wouldn't let my sis drive my car! Lol my husband has driven it, but I really don't let anyone touch it!

His car was stolen and I was deployed.

Ah gotcha...my sis doesn't even have her license so that's the end of that! ..and thank you for serving :) I don't have the guts...
