thanks bro, they got a bunch of nice rides on v6p, they inspired me.

Who's rear lip?

oh, i got it from LEO.  i just noticed i left out who i got it from. lol

Thanks bro.  i love the TL wheels, they're so easy to keep clean and they look great on our cars.

Definitely get the front lip.  It will look good.

Yeah, Leo the guy i bought the rear lip from told me i would need the front lip too, but i'm not a slow driver and i'm afraid i would just tear up the front lip in no time at all.

I think the front lip would give it a lowered look without sacrificing the smooth ride. i just hate slowing down to a crawl when i see a speed bump. lol

thanks for all the comments guys.

Na you wont damage the lip. I'm dropped about 2" in the front and my lip is still well above the floor. Even when I was slammed the lip was still well off the floor and when I was scraping, the lip was still intact.

The Leo i was talking about is in LA and I bought the rear lip from him but he didn't make it. He did make the trunk spoiler on the pic above though.

Wrong. Leo is a guy on v6p that makes them.

Installed a 17mm rear sway bar from an acura TL. I like how stable and solid it feels now.  The stock rear sway bar for an automatic tranny is 13mm. if anyone is wondering.

All of our Accords have the same size RSB. Doesn't matter if autotragic or manual, v6 or i4. Its kinda lame.

Title: Re: profile: 06accordcoupe
Post by: gargantula99 on October 09, 2012, 10:42:29 AM
Except for the 06-07 VP.  I'm pretty sure those came without the rear bar.

Title: Re: Re: profile: 06accordcoupe
Post by: CrackerTeg on October 09, 2012, 11:23:07 AM
True. I believe it's all the VP's.

Title: Re: profile: 06accordcoupe
Post by: 06accordcoupe on October 09, 2012, 05:35:08 PM
It feels more stable with the thicker RSB so it's a good upgrade for anyone that wants better handling.  :)

RSB, bushings and supports only $56 from acura dealer.

remove 6 bolts, put in new sway bar tighten 6 bolts and done.

put car on jackstands for more room to work in.

Title: Re: profile: 06accordcoupe
Post by: CrackerTeg on October 09, 2012, 06:02:44 PM
Nah. Its more fun when the car is dropped and you don't jack it up. Oh yeah! Lets not forget about the rounded allen heads on the original endlinks. Fun stuff.

Title: Re: profile: 06accordcoupe
Post by: 06accordcoupe on October 09, 2012, 11:39:01 PM
lol lucky for me everything went smooth. i even replaced a broken endlink on the front sway bar before i replaced the RSB. Endlinks are 18 bucks a piece from the dealer. If you have rusted endlinks with rounded off hex bolts you need to buy new endlinks.

wish i didn't get a damn rash on my hands every time i work on my car though.

If you guys have bitch hands like me, you gotta wear gloves. lol

Title: Re: profile: 06accordcoupe
Post by: CrackerTeg on October 10, 2012, 08:01:10 AM
The OEM ones are shit. A lot of the guys that replaced theirs have used Moog ones with great success. I haven't replaced mine because they still work and I use vise grips instead of allen wrenches like a bauce.

Title: Re: profile: 06accordcoupe
Post by: 06accordcoupe on October 10, 2012, 04:42:33 PM
Yeah on the endlink i replaced i broke the four dots and grabbed the metal part with channellocks. Not quite like a bawz. lol

OEM endlinks r fine with me, i think they're supposed to break in case you hit a huge pothole like i did. you replace the endlink instead of the sway bar. I figure if the endlink doesnt break the sway bar is gonna bend and then you would have to replace the sway bar, but what do i know i'm not a mechanic.

gonna get a strut bar now. what brand you recommend, Z?

Title: Re: Re: profile: 06accordcoupe
Post by: CrackerTeg on October 10, 2012, 05:36:38 PM
Honestly, OEM 6 speed. Best bang for the buck.

Title: Re: profile: 06accordcoupe
Post by: timot_one on October 12, 2012, 09:56:02 PM
The sway bar will not break under normal road conditions.  It actually acts like a spring, so it's under tension.  Do you have a front sway bar?

Title: Re: profile: 06accordcoupe
Post by: 06accordcoupe on October 12, 2012, 11:50:56 PM
Yeah i got the stock front sway bar, but i replaced the endlink that broke when i hit a pothole a while ago. The FSB is still ok.

Drove on a twisty road today and man that was fun with the new RSB. My brother drove it after i installed the RSB and he was impressed, he usually drives a truck though. lol

Was debating whether to get the neuspeed or OEM 6mt strut bar and I'm leaning toward the neuspeed strut bar cos of easier installation.

Title: Re: profile: 06accordcoupe
Post by: timot_one on October 12, 2012, 11:54:36 PM
I have both.  The OEM one isn't much harder to install than the Neuspeed.  Also, I meant have you upgraded your front sway bar.  It appears that the answer is no.  You may want to consider doing that.  It's well worth it if you want to reduce oversteer.

Title: Re: profile: 06accordcoupe
Post by: 06accordcoupe on October 13, 2012, 04:09:11 PM
I wanna do a few other things before i do the front sway bar.

strut bar (neuspeed)
front lip  (oem hfp 03-05
new rims (undecided)
j pipe      (undecided)
paint job

as long as my car stays reliable i'll keep modding :)

Found a polished neuspeed strut bar and installed it today in the morning. Easy half hour install, with my brother's help.

I ordered the front lip, Tim. I'll have to modify the 03-05 lip to fit my 06 bumper and I also have to paint it. It's a replica so I'm hoping there won't be fitment issues. I'll post pics when it arrives, but it'll be a couple days before i finally get around to installing it.

Last mod of the year i think.  :)

Sure Z plenty of the colombian stuff so take a little road trip to the west coast. lol

you both have good eyes or you're members of the other website where i posted close up pics. lol

Yeah i'm afraid i'm gonna have to get the 06 oem front lip or lower it more. I like the ride quality at this height so I'm leaning towards the 06 lip.

He's trying to fit a replica 03-05 lip to an 06. He's already going to have issues even if it were real deal. Its been done but its not easy.

Title: Re: profile: 06accordcoupe
Post by: timot_one on December 12, 2012, 12:01:03 AM
You could always do the 03-05 front bumper.  That would probably work better with that lip.

Title: Re: profile: 06accordcoupe
Post by: 06accordcoupe on December 12, 2012, 07:04:57 PM
Thanks Tim.  That sounds like the best option so far. You think my aftermarket grill will fit on the 03-05 bumber?
I need to find someone local that's parting out their car. If they already have the hfp lip i would buy their entire bumper.  :droid:
I would just have to switch my foglights to the new bumper.

That will be a project for next year. =)
Thanks again, Tim.
