Pulled apart the housing on Sunday... actually easier than I thought it would be.

Fixed the cracked rear housing and also noticed that the little ball pegs (not sure what they're called) that hold the reflector bowls in the housing were broken so I JB welded those back on.

Painted the trim... thinkin about paintin the low beam reflector but maybe not? lol just waiting for the JB weld to fully cure before I decide.

Nice, def a good choice with the amber reflectors.  I had clear ones on my first set and something was just lacking.  Got amber with my new ones amd they just pop more.

yup that's what I felt when I put the clear ones on it just didn't look right like there was not enough depth so I went with amber

Got the reflector housing mounted back in but gonna wait til weekend (gotta pull the bumper) and mount these on the car to adjust levels before sealing it back up... almost there!

Sealed and installed.. no output shots as my car can't be moved until my manifold cover is dry and reinstalled..lol

Your post today about coming down reminded me about this, So the plan is to drive up the weekend of August 3rd. I may drive up Thursday night or Friday night. Going to parade on Saturday is a maybe and returning Sunday afternoon.

Dude, if you can come up for Thursday night that would be awesome. They have a huge car meet/show just north of me (about 20mins max) weekly on Thursday nights, last night there was about 1000+ cars. All makes/models and of course Got Ass models lol I'll pm you my number and just give me a shout when you're in town.

What parade is it that you're attending and what area are you staying in?

Car's going to the shop next week to have the seal replaced. Outlaw ThermoBlok gaskets on order. I will be starting a savings fund for the trip down to the BBQ meet next year and also *hopefully* have enough to get a transmission swap >:D

couldn't be happier. Very subtle rumble during idle, it's almost stock sounding. No drone at all unless I'm over 2000RPM and only gets noticeable around 2500RPM. I'll get a clip of it after the weekend since there are none available as yet.

Wow.  Jealous of that Fujitsubo exhaust. :thumbsup:  Did you purchase that from the Excellerate remaining stock?  BTW, where did you purchase the UR front strut bar?

Yea I got it from Excellerate when they had a coupon code and it was $499 plus shipping. Couldn't pass up that deal! haha The UR strut was bought locally from a guy who parted out his 7th gen so I have no clue where he ordered from originally.   :-[

Nice p/u through the Excelerate deal.  I would have been interested in that promotion, but there would more costs and work to mate it an i4.

Fanitron, any chance you could take a picture of the strut tower bar on the passenger side specifically on the rear side of the bar. I want to see what needs to be done to the AC lines for the bar to fit.

Oh yeah, that was a PITA. I'll explain it and try to get a pic up for later tonight... basically you have to unbolt the brackets for the AC line so that it's "floating" then install the bar and then bolt the brackets back in but the one closest to the strut mount is left unbolted. Due to the base of the strut bar is pushes the line towards the firewall by about 1cm so that last bracket doesn't line up anymore. So far I haven't had any issues with it.

Thanks, I appreciate it.  For unbolting the bracket for the AC line are you talking about just the one thats on the strut tower or are there other ones you had to take out as well?

Pretty much had to unbolt or at least loosen all of them so the line was free to move without risk of bending/damage. I was very worried about damaging that line and having refrigerant blow up in my face lol
