Title: Small car vs large car dynamics
Post by: slipkord on June 29, 2011, 06:29:02 PM
Ok been awhile since my last thread, I want to get you guys opinions on this matter.

Would you rather have a small fuel efficient car or a big suv/truck which gets less mpg. Is the extra metal surrounding you worth it to help you feel safe while sacrificing mpgs?  I'll refrain from giving my opinion just yet.

They say small cars are safe, ie civic, but when you get tboned by a F250 then your fucked. But if your in the truck you walk away with barely a dented bumper while the civic is totaled. Just my 2 cents.

I would rather have both to be honest. A 4x4 pick up (Toyota Tacoma) and a smaller fuel efficient vehicle.

Using this logic its safe to drive a Mac Truck. Smaller cars and generally engineered to keep the passenger cabin in tact no matter what. If you crash two F 250's into one another your both fucked. No matter what you drive your in danger on the road. The best bet is to drive safe, and be cautious.
