Trying to keep this an ECM/Acurazine (people who Steve or myself know and are cool) Meet - we haven't done a small forum meet in over a year, and we are trying to bring it back as they were a good time two summers ago.

OK Guys so here is the deal.  Steve (Limonjelly) and myself have talked recently about getting a meet together somewhere in Connecticut this spring/summer.  After talking, we are putting together a meet at Hammonasset State Park.  Its a popular beach/park, and has 3 huge parking lots.  We are going to try and park int he parking lot furthest from the beach, as it will likely be the emptiest and easiest to get too.  Steve and I are trying to get there early (between 9-9:30 AM to get a nice spot in the back and hold some spaces for those attending.  I have listed the address below for anyone interested in checking out the park and a picture of the map where we are planning the meetup.  If it so happens to rain/be crappy weather that day, we will figure out a rain date soon.

Ham-on-acid is a great place for a meet.  I used to go there a lot when I was a kid.

The only reason why I wanted it to rain is because I thought I could make the June 26th Date, but I think I'm going camping that weekend.  So I don't know.  It'll depend on the weather.  If Friday and Saturday are going to be a wash, then I won't go camping and go to the meet instead.

Anyway, what do you guys have plan for after the meet on the 26th? I asked because it is my bday and last year we had a great time after the meet. We got a hotel room and had a few drinks until we passed out  ;D

Reason why I can't go is because I'll be white water rafting and camping in PA. Lol

Come on guys, I believe the tcc meet was just a photo shoot. I believe tommy chose that location because it was different than the air field. Plus this the nycm/necm meet is well over due. Hope that helps with your decision Billy  :)

TCC has meets like every single weekend.

I agree with Rich, that a NECM/NYCM meet is way overdue and hsould take priority in this case.

I will be at the beach, and Rich if I'd be willing to grab drinks and dinner that day, and happy early birthday!

Guys, just as a heads up, I wanna make sure that you're not just changing the meet date because of me.  I hope that everyone on the original list won't get screwed now because of the date change.  To be honest, I don't even know if my car will be ready by the 26th either, and I was still gonna come on the 12th anyway, but I was probably gong to show up in an old beater Taurus.  So please, I'd like input on the better date option for everyone... if this hasn't been done already.

Its not just you Dave, most people were pushing for the 26th, and others like myself, didnt really care which of the 2 days.

and TCC if your looking for a change of scenery for a photo shoot why don't you just move the entire meet up to the beach. That way you can have your different photo shoot AND you can still attend the NYCM/NECM meet. Kill 2 birds with one stone.

ahh come on, i drive 4 hours from Boston to NY all the time for events, EACP meet last year, 6 hours for Honda Day this year, make the drive and chill with some of your accord friends.

Yeah I think we are going to forgo an official BBQ.  If anyone feels like bringing a grill and food, that is entirely up to them.  I'll probably be grabbing breakfast on the way there, and a few of us are probably going to go get food/beverages after the meet.  Remember meet is starting @ 10 am until whenever we wanna go eat i guess (which I imagine will be at like 1 or 2 o'clock.  Meet is a little over a week away!!

I'll probably be rolling out to this meet in an old Ford Taurus haha.  V6 kids.  I'm also down for a bar and grill afterwards for the bday celebration.

If I can get my new Axles installed I'll come through. I have to tell you that the Outlook not so good.

I should of just came, had a horrible annoying day that started at 2pm.... first the girls dresses were having issues then I go to get my suit and I don't know what the fuck they did cuz it looked like I had borrowed my grandfathers suit! I gotta go back next week and speak with the manager and see what they gonna do cuz my head was not right today so i stormed out of the place. When I wen back they were closing up shop! Men's Warehouse FTW!

Great time yesterday fellas. Thanks for my chocolate volcano cake & lunch. It was good catching up with you guys. Sucks that the beach was so expensive before 4pm. Wish they had mentioned that on their website. If we had known that ahead of time I would have suggested moving that meet to my place for a bbq in the back yard. Maybe next year :)

i'm going to try to avoid Labor day weekend since unless we get a good responce back.

Labor day weekend is our anniversary.  So it's always a no go for me.

I am def down for another meet, but Sept and Aug are pretty busy months for me. Once we get a more solid date hammered out I can RSVP appropriately.

I was thinking the same thing today. Let's start planning now, especially since I have my car back.  Hopefully, though, the chosen date doesn't interfere with the end of summer Fresh 2 Death car show that's usually held at the end of August in Rhode Island.  We had a good Accord turnout 2 summers ago when myself, Arie, Rich and Steve went to the show, and I'd like all of us to try and go to it as a group this summer too, as long as it's still being held. 

Dave, is there a date for that meet, we could use it as a possible spot for a meet

i was doing some research this weekend for our 2nd meet at neutral site of CT so Both NYCM/NECM can meet in the middle and mostly all the state parks charge $15-$25 non resident free for the weekend. Sad to say but Hammonasset was the best neutral location with easy access off of I-95 without driving alomst 3 hours. If no one else apposes, I say we try having it there again and like Kevin said at the last meet,"Just suck it up and pay the $22" and we can stay as long as we want and we have our own section with the beach access to it as well.

Yeah, suck it up and pay the money!!  The park is really nice on the inside.

It is really nice, there are bathrooms and restuarant area and the area we picked out last time was really nice alot of room and about a 5 minute walk to the water ( I walk slow ).

Thats cool with me. We should still keep the option open for using meet in RI once Dave finds out about the date. That was a great meet 2 years back and it was free.

I'm not driving to rhode island just cause it's free.  I rather go to hamonassett park and pay the $22 to save myself the hour of driving.

Even though I do have a friend in rhode island, so I might make a weekend out of it.

Jason, there is not set date as of yet, but it's usually one of the last weekends in August.  I'd REALLY like this to be a meet that all of us roll up to this year, since last year, I got a lot of props, but was one of the only Accords there amongt nearly 200 cars of various types.  It's always at Goddard State Park in RI, and it's free.  I'll keep you guys posted if I hear anything.  Also, I'm not trying to be cheap, but to pay $22 to meet at a park in CT when all we're gonna do is chill just like we do in a free parking lot is kinda meh in my opinion.
