Just installed these headlights on my car.
I'm very happy with the overall style of them.
The pictures make the signal lights look way more red than they are.
I plan on changing out the signal bulbs with something more pleasing.

I absolutely love the rainbow effect that the plastic gives at certain angles.
I wasn't expecting it to be there but I am happy that it is.

How's the light output? From what I've seen in pictures, they're horrible.

Honestly, its very ricey. Return them and use that money for a drop  ;)

So, these are just the unmodified halo projector headlights?  What makes them spec-d compared to the other headlights you buy on eBay?

Enjoy them while you still can.... My leds worked for the first week... Then i replaced them all and they gave me life span of about a month... :-[

Well they are made by the company Spec-D.
I can easily install a 9006 hid kit when I want.


The output with halogen bulbs is just as much any halogen lights. not horrible but not great.
but again, I may get an hid kit. Also I am for sure getting an LED amber to replace the bulb



well good thing LED's cost around $0.20 Each when you know where to get them.

What a waste of cash..those headlights make the car look really cheap..

The reason why I asked is because most people will open them up and remove the low quality fog light projector that these companies put in their headlights, and replace it with a higher quality OEM projector to get better output.  The output of these headlights is actually worse than OEM halogen headlights.  I guarantee that putting in a HID kit will not make your headlights better.  If anything, slapping in a HID kit will just create glare and and awful color.  The reason why I asked if Spec-D was anything special is because these are commonly referred to as the eBay dual halo headlights.

i got my headlights from ebay and i have had them for 3 months now and nothing has gone wrong yet (knock on wood)...the only things i wish were that the halos were brighter (may switch them out with CCFL bulbs)...and does anyone know that when i turn on my courtesy lights is there a way i can make it so that the drls dont come on too

So here's a quick update.

BOTH of the projector lens' have massive scratches in the center.
OEM Headlights are re-installed.
These sped-d headlights are getting shipped back for a full refund.


Cold Air intake installed and working.

you can remove the drl fuse that is located in the interior fuse box, then remove your instrument cluster and cover the annoying drl warning light with some black electrical tape.

mine arent spec-d...my oems lights were god awful...and to put HIDs in my stock housing isnt the smartest move (blinding ppl) i still have my old headlights not really sure what i want to do with them yet

Retrofit and blackhouse. The only way to go. Or retro and leave eveerything chrome. That works as well.

Whem u say god awful are you reffering to the lenses... They can be polished.

referring to reflector headlights...not a huge fan...to me the projectors looked and performed better...especially with the 8k hid...mine are really bright and then when i put highs on its like day time lol

I'll bet you $100 that a retrofit with 4300k bulbs would be a shit load brighter than what you have right now.

We can post comparison shots. Who wants to post their retro output to compare? Mine will just be overkill since its a higher wattage.

Actually, if CM5 has a buddy with a car that has factory HID projectors, he can side by side it. As for the 8k HIDs, the whiteish blue is deceptive to the human eye making them seem brighter than what they really are.

Check out this thread (http://elitecm.net/forums/index.php?topic=3467.0) I just created in the lighting forum to edumacate yourself. There's A LOT more to HID lighting than what I posted but this forum isn't dedicated to HID lighting.

You will need to make sure both people use the same F-Stop and Exposure length to ensure accurate pictures!

I HATE when a company puts a picture of obviously photo-shopped lights. (THEY ALL DO IT)

I'm fully aware of having the same camera settings. Out of that entire post (which I obviously edited out information I had posted elsewhere) that's all you were able to get? You didn't happen to notice how I said to compare his lights to another with factory HIDs?
