Please don't start threads with opinions stated as facts all it is going to do is start an argument, and that’s pointless. If we are going to have open and intelligent conversations about games, and systems this thread has its place but, starting it off like that is asinine, and will not be tolerated.

My family decided to get Kinect for the 360, instead of getting a Wii for Christmas. Sure, Nintendo games are fun and all, but the price point really hurts. It's $200 for the Wii console, and since we need at least three controllers to play, that would be $40 per wiimote and $20 per nunchuck. That's another $120 just in controllers (the Wii console only comes with one). So for $320, we get a Wii, Wii Sports, and New Super Mario Bros. For $150, we can get Kinect, we already have a 360, and it comes with Kinect Adventures. For another $50, we're going to get Kinect Sports as well. The best thing about Kinect is that you don't need to go out and buy all these controllers.

What do you guys think about Kinect vs. Wii?

fixed for you mike. ;), i had a wii, i only liked smash bros, and mario kart, everything else felt kiddie. from what ive seen kinnect looks sweet. there are some vid of people whos already have hacked it. havent tried it yet.

I have a wii also (gaming whore I know), and it's enjoyable because you don't have to have any understanding of gaming in general to use it. Watching my Grandmother playing wii sports resort was a riot. The kinect is exciting because of the oppertunity for the things that they can produce in the future the current crop of games isn't great but, I'm excited to see where it goes.

for those of you who have ps3's have you made the switch to bluray? or are you like my brother in-law, and say " blu ray will be dead by next year" so he buys his movies via psn

Blu Ray will be dead but, not that soon... A disk in general is going to become irrelevant. Movies follow music...

i got black ops and uncharted for xmas. i really like uncharted and so does the girl, but i fucking love b.ops. it runs so much smoother than mw2. and i dunno if people are new to the whole fps, but ive been going 10-3 for 17-4 so i really like it.

dude its insane i know im good, but i usually pull 10-7 or 13-8. but i use to onlu play hardcore search and destroy. and now i play ffa or tdm.

I always play on prestige once i get used to a map i pretty much take out the campers first and work my way out to the rest >:D

I can't seem to play FPS games with a console controller.  I'm not good with aiming.  I'm a beast at FPS games on the PC though.

Anyone bought WWE2k14 for PS3 yet? Thought my son and I would play it, any other games that are kid friendly that you guys know of? My son is 10, we usually play NCAA13 football and the like. I wouldn't mind buying GTAV, but it's no fun playing by myself.

And also, GTA Online is amazing.  Its like a whole nother story mode but you can play with others and get help on missions.

I've started playing a lot of the new Simcity.  Pretty good if you like those types of games.

It is on origin and is just called Simcity.  It came out last November and they just recently released an expansion pack called Cities of Tomorrow.  $40 for both through origin (same price as Amazon). 

Most of the reviews are terrible because it was very buggy when it first came out but a lot of the problems have been fixed.  It is a nice break from the FPS games I usually play.

Just picked up xbox one last night. Started playing need for speed rivals and now playing destiny!!! Wow xbox one is so much different than 360. Wherever you leave off in a game you start back up as soon as you power up

Yeah... it's pretty great.  I really do love mine.  GF enjoys it too and she doesn't even play any games. (Got her Zumba... but that didn't last long)

haha - I bought a kinect for my 360 a few years ago, for the sole purpose of my wife doing the dance and workout games.  yeah that didn't even last a DAY.  $150 wasted.

I picked up forza horizons 2. I like it a lot so far the cars look beautiful the racing is fun and competitive I haven't done any online play yet. The amount of customization you can do to the cars is absolutely mind blowing. I have 9 cars so far

I've literally got 50 games and play maybe 2 of them. Some of which (most are downloaded, not disc) I haven't even played. Just haven't gotten in the mood to play them. I'm finally getting Forza6 (for fathers day). I lost ALL my content on Forza5, I was so damn pissed, apparently it's happened to a lot of people too. And all Ryan plays is damn Rocket League LOL. I need to hop back on there and play with you one day dude.

This thing is pretty badass. I wouldn't say it's ideal for FPS games, but it's definitely a revolutionary controller design. You can also control your mouse with the touchpads, kind of like a laptop. All of the buttons are fully customization to do whatever the hell you want too.
