I was going to buy my lady an Ipad, but since she just purchased a new Macbook Pro, then she no longer needs the Ipad. Therefore, we agreed that I'm splitting the bill for her macbook.  

but as an idea standpoint for others, I was originally going to get her an Ipad or a new DSLR.

My presence is enough of a gift for her this year.

Dunno what to get my lady, we've only been together for two months. Diamonds are out of the question, but ive got no ideas. Trying to get away with going out to a nice meal, thats not going over well

Mines not like that at all she would rather pick out her own shit. Of course I get her other things also to reflect that I know what she likes but, there is always gift cards to her favorite stores included.

my fiance just told me she really wants those reebok easytone shoes (the ones that are supposed to tone your body or something)..  should I stick to my guns and get the kindle or get her those shoes?  if I do end up going with the shoes I run the risk of her thinking that I think she needs to lose weight (opposite of reality lol) but she outright told me last night that she really wants them, soooo advice?

Umm, that's a direct hint.  Get her the shoes.  If my fiance tells me she really "wants" something, it's usually because she really wants it.  There may be less of a surprise in it all, but you can always get her some other small stuff.

I couldn't have said it better myself. If you don't get her what she's directly hinting at, you will NOT get Christmas booty. Fair warning.

Those stupid shoes are pretty pricey... I think they were $120 last time I saw them.

haha yea, I figured that's what I was going to end up doing, I want my xmas booty damnit!   Mike, they were $99 last time I was in Dick's  a couple weeks ago.  cheaper than the kindle, so I'm not complaining! haha.

best part about this is that her family does presents on hannukah (half jewish), so she already got her presents from her family, so I know I won't be getting her the same thing they would be.

Got away with the dinner thing. Of course its going to be more expensive then a gift and she wont be paying. But im weird when I get gifts so id rather not get one.

Since it is past christmas this is what I got from Paul and I loved everything about it. I got a new jacket which is a knock off of the carrhart's but just as warm, new dinner plate set for 4, 45 piece silverware set, new furniture for the bedroom to get rid of our desk, half a PS3 with GT5, heated leather seats in my Pilot, a bunch of Paul's time to get stuff done around the house, and a week and a half vacation away from the kids.

That's pretty awesome!!
