Title: help with "not an ashtray" compartment. Post by: status on June 29, 2010, 02:42:45 PM so i was trying to install the short shift i have, and pushed it down to open it and it sounded like something dropped. and now it wont shut.

In the photo it doesn't look like the rubber lining is sitting flat which makes it seem like the piece under it isn't clipped in all the way. Try to reseat the plastic piece.

Just push up on that to pop out the cup. Those screws are part of what you need to take off to get the center console apart.

Post by: status on July 03, 2010, 11:58:22 PM ok sweet took it out and no springs missing. the part that is missing is where the male parts clips into the female part. luckily i found the part in the fucking furthest back underneath the cubby. thanks guys for the help. ;D
