Title: New tire size, your opinion? Post by: unclejud49348 on May 09, 2010, 08:22:53 PM I've got some 17" rims that I bought last year that need new tires, and I need your opinion/suggestion.
I've got 3 choices, and I don't know which ones with fit/work for my CM. 1. 235 65 r17 2. 215 65 r17 3. 225 55 r17 I don't know the brands of the tires, but I know that they are all brand new. My friend got these sets for dirt cheap, and I need to know which set to buy. So let me know what set you would choose, or what would work, and if none of them work then please tell me that too lol. 215/65 R17 are just as big and that will throw off your rolling diameter by a lot. 225/55 R17 is like an 1" bigger then your stock rolling diameter, and that will cause a speedometer reading change. To be honost, I wouldn't use any of those tire size. I don't know your wheel's dimension. So, I can't clarify what tire size you should be using. Title: Re: New tire size, your opinion? Went to an auction yesterday with my boss and he was buying brand new sets of tires for extremely cheap. I had a feeling that none of them would work. Oh well, guess I know what to look for now.

They were selling everything, by the end of the day the walls were bare. Tools, awards, computers, decorations, tires, everything was for sale. I bought a bunch of stuff really cheap. Working credit card machines, $5 a piece. My boss got the tires at the end of the auction. Brand new sets, for next to nothing. But since none of the 17" tires will work, it doesn't really mean squat for me.

upgrade would be 225/45/17 little sportier, little lower profile, little wider both of these would fit properly and not mess up your speedometer |
