It's time to start planning a MA meet.  I'm going to be inviting a few other forums so I'm hoping this will be pretty big.  This will be the only forum where people will be able to vote for the date.  Since I've had a bunch of meets at Hopkinton State Park with great results, I feel that would be the best place.  They have 12 picnic areas, 2 beaches for swimming, and 10 miles of trails.  Each picnic area has a parking lot that will be large enough to accommodate the amount of cars coming.  So, for anyone interested, please vote which 2 days work best for you and we'll pick the day with the most votes.

I would love to make the MA Meet. Only thing is that June is a dead month for me due to work and school. I hope we can get this setup for a saturday in July.

That's exactly what Kat and I will do. and Piero can agree, making a weekend thing out of it is a freaking blast. Patron anyone?

You have to actually attend the meet though, not show up for 20 minutes and disappear for the rest of the day.

:lol: good one Tim...any weekend in July being that I may be in Cali end of May- beginning of June, then we have some local events TCC is attending the weekends before my event.

All my votes go for the Sundays since I work Saturdays.  However, if it came down to a Saturday, or even a weekend-long thing, I'd be able to make it to Hopkinton by about 5pm on Saturday.

hopkinton is a great place for a meet. +1 on that idea

my summer is pretty spotty at this point - some weekends got big plans others are wide open.  let's see where this lands.

The later the better for me. BTW, I'll be moving back to MA! I just don't have an exact moving date and that's the problem. I'm not a definite attendee, but I will make it if I'm up there in time.

I'll be moving back to Plymouth, where I grew up. It'll be strange to go back for sure. I haven't been there since I graduated high school.

What's the final verdict with this?

The final word is that my job just FUCKED me and a lot of other people.  They just forced us to work Saturdays again, so I am going to be working every other Saturday next month.  I'm trying to look for another job that I don't hate going to every day.

just a heads up, i think the park has begun charging for parking. its only like $5 but. it was packed last weekend..

yea its always been a $5 entrance fee.  not a big deal because then you get free range of the place.  picnics, bbq, lake, etc.

At this point, I don't know.  I mentioned that my job just fucked me over on my schedule and are forcing me to work every other weekend.  They're still extremely vague about what the schedule is going to be, so I have no fucking clue whether I'm going to be working the 17th or not.

More work = more money, no?

No.  They are not making me work more hours.  Those cheap bastards aren't giving us over time, they're making a schedule change forcing us to work weekends.

If anyone is up to it, we could do next Sunday June 13th at Nantasket Beach in Hull. we can cruise the shore line and there will be a carshow there as well.

Well, I don't think that would be the best option.  This was intended to be a meet for a few different forums, not us latching on to an existing event.  At this point, I will have to wait until I find out what day I will be free for the meet.
