Just a general question I've had a hard time getting motivated lately, and I want to know what motivates others?


*Please answer seriously and don't clog this thread with bull shit.*

Having someone there to talk to you and help motivate you always works for me. Weather it's working out or at work. It always helps to have a buddy.

Money, Sex, and Food...seriously

Motivation for what? Living life? Going to work?  Modding a car?

I guess the things that motivate me are my close friends, the weekend, and the opportunity for a better day.

people that you care about having your back is a big motivator for me

Honestly everything. This nice weather helped a little bit last week but, I feel like I've fallen into a pattern, and can't get motivated to do anything else.

Music, it gets me ampted in the morning and wakes me up to get involved in the day, other wise i would stay sleeping

My fiance' for starters, being unemployed at the moment she always has positive things to say to keep me grounded and not lose it.

Second my son, I know no matter how hard things get I have to move forward and stay strong because of him and what I want to provide for him.

Thirdly money, yet it is the root of all evil I always need to have it lolz no but seriously... I want nice things in life (ie: car, house, good job) and want to provide a good life for my family so it comes with the territory,

the feeling you get after a job well done - be it at work, around the house, car, fitness, anything...

Like Billy said, my family. Driving on in anything is thanks to the spawn and the choice words my wife uses to push me. Yeah, I said my wife. We do get in our spats but we always push through.

Recently, nothing has really motivated me. I've been slacking off in school, and would work on my car instead, or play video games. I'm going to UCF though, so I have a little motivation to keep moving forward in life, and trying to keep the past behind me. At some times my car is my motivation to keep going, in the sense that my car is an ongoing project, and that some day in the future it will be perfected (maybe a k24a4 swap and Comptech S/C? haha). I'm a perfectionist, and that's one of the main reasons why the mod bug has hit me hard. I'm never satisfied, lol.

For those of you that said music is there something specific?

When it comes to music, it's whatever you like really. Me being Jamaican, it's primarily Reggae for me. At the same time I can get pumped up on some Bob Seger "old time rock n roll"; Kid Rock "all summer long" even Toby Keith "American Ride"  

My fucked up family. It doesn't sound right, but my family is so dysfunctional that I don't want anything but a "normal" life. It's only going to get worse too.

What motivates me is some good techno also trance music , money woman fastcars and food a good workout always helps too keeps me going snice i barely sleep due to "responsibility"

I usually just take a nice drive in my car to clear my mind. Sometimes there is just too much crap going in the whole all at once that you lose site of your goal. So sometime you gotta get re in tuned with yourself. I usually go out when its really late to a nice road and just take a nice drive to get my mind off everything. In those 20 mins or less nothing else matters Not the rent, not the bs project I got stuck with on spring break, and not the punk ass civic and integra trying to race me down every block.

I dont know if that works for you but that works for me.

A nice drive is relaxing but, usually i'm so tired I'd fall asleep maybe the ultimate solution for me is to hit the gym.
