We have a size limit here because people post pictures that are too large and take a long time to load, or are so huge that you have to scroll over to the right just to see the entire picture. It allows resizing as well, and you don't need to make an account to use it. The only benefit an account gives is to let you save your images, rather than just getting the link, onto your profile.
