Title: Winter break
Post by: mitchigan on December 21, 2009, 12:34:48 PM
Anyone on here that just finished up the semester? I just did and wow am I glad to be done, by far the hardest and most time consuming semester yet, and it only gets worse. Congrats to anyone who made it out alive.

Well, mine was pretty horrifying at times, and it's only going to get worse, but I made out with decent grades and am happy to have a month off.

What's a semester off?? I have no idea. I have been in school since 2001, full time and only 5 months off (May 2006 to October 2006) and that was when I graduated with my bachelor's, got re-married and moved to Virginia. I have until May 20014 to go before I am done but it's all worth when I became Dr. of Psychology, since I already hold my bachelor's, Master's and a career diploma in Automotive repair technology.

Too bad I'm all growed up and they don't give us a vacation from work for Christmas.  At least not at my job.

No I am not. lol I look at it this way to that working hard will eventually pay off. Not only that it is teaching my kids that education means everything to survive in this world and that it's important. I have always been a life long learner and I doubt I will ever be done.

Absolutely not. That's a real good thing to teach your kids.

On another note, one final down one more to go. Ugh.

I actually just started my next semester and I have my first residency starting Saturday. 4 long days of in-class school work as opposed to all online for my Doctorate.

I admire you Carrie. That takes some balls to be doing what you're doing while looking after a family. (http://forums.snapstream.com/vb/images/smilies/bowdown.gif)

Thanks guys!! I look at it this way if you really want something bad enough you find a way and the time to complete whatever your goals are. Of course support from family and friends also help.

I do have a full plate with working, family, school work, normal household chores, etc but the hubby and kids pitch in and help as well.
