Title: AVATAR Thread Post by: Accord Euro-R on December 19, 2009, 12:50:53 PM So I am wondering who else has seen Avatar? I saw it yesterday in IMAX 3D and was completely blown away. Yes it was a story that has been done time and again, but the imagery and direction took it to a completely different level. I would highly recommend going to see it, it is well worth the $10 for IMAX 3D. Anyone else care to offer comments?

Title: Re: AVATAR Thread Post by: Accord Euro-R on December 20, 2009, 02:41:57 PM I agree Shawn....def not a waste of money. I will prob be seeing it again! Although my favorite quote from one of the movie reviews:
Quote from: "Roger Ebert" Only James Cameron could find a way to make a 10 foot tall, blue alien look attractive. Although it has also been noted that James Cameron has 2 more movies planned, making Avatar a trilogy. He said he was looking to make the "Star Wars" of the new millennium. Title: Re: AVATAR Thread Post by: Accord Euro-R on December 22, 2009, 09:32:03 PM Cliffs Notes of Storyline:
Dude takes bothers place in army-type corporation Controls "native" body using own mind Sent to infiltrate native species for intel While learning native customs, falls in love with native girl Army attacks natives Dude takes lead of natives and leads fight against army to save the girl he loves and the civilization he has come to love Story has been done time and time again, but somehow this movie has a way of making it completely and udderly kick ass! Title: Re: AVATAR Thread Post by: alpha on December 22, 2009, 11:06:06 PM I saw it over the weekend. Stayed up and watched the 1:30am showing.. very intresting movie. when they were flying on those things or riding "horse" it reminded me of driving a car or flying a jet, you put key in and tell it where to go lol Title: Re: AVATAR Thread Post by: Abailey4 on December 28, 2009, 11:14:38 AM Seems to be a new age Star Wars. Unfortunately I'll have to try and see it by myself or with some friends cuz Ash doesn't get down with Scifi.
