When I get my G.I. Bill money in. Since my school is pretty much covered, the G.I. Bill is money in my pocket. Should be the next couple of weeks. Although, personally, I'm leaning towards the RPF1s. I've always liked those wheels, but I also wanted opinions. But I've also liked the others as well. I'm so fucking indecisive!

Ok. Now its definitely confirmed how indecisive I am. Now I'm not even looking at those wheels I posted. I'm looking at other options, and decided to not post them to just surprise you guys. In the meantime, I'm installing my springs this weekend and want to know if you guys think I should rock my steelies with or without the covers until the new wheels come in? Reason I'm asking is because the wheels I'm looking at now are a flat gunmetal finish and thinking of getting used to the look. Sort of.

Z, the gunmetal looks good with silver, rock it for a while and see what you think.

Chino, the ride is a bit stiffer than stock, but it definitely has an OEM feel to it. Handling has improved though.

Nope. Fab is absolutely right. The 2nd gen TLS wheels are identical to these being they are the same width. The CLS are .5" wider. I could call these wheels 2nd gen TLS wheels, but they aren't. Wouldn't do them justice.

Dude I'm really digging the color-matched foglights! Now I'm tempted to do the same thing to my car, lol.

I wasn't going to do it at first. Steve (InFuMoUs) has his color matched and Arie was the one that mentioned to me that I should do it when I bought my wheels from him. The day I installed my headlights was the day I said fuck it to painting them. After mounting them up, I'm glad I did it. Now they don't get "lost" in the bumper. But before painting them, I had smoked my fogs and it made my grill look a lot bigger than it really is.

I realized my rotation is a bit off last night driving around so I might pull them apart sometime soon and fix that. Yes sir. Its been sitting the same way since I first did it. I've been meaning to do a little more work to it but haven't gotten any tubing to make the custom icebox intake. I've been lazy.

Last pic looks great man, why did you decide to step down to dual?

I wasn't even using the secondary projectors to be honest. All they did was give me extra foreground lighting that the fogs already provide me. So I figured I'd free up the halogen highs that way I have dual high beams for the unsuspecting asshole. Besides, my rotation was all kinds of fucked up so I had to pull them apart anyway. I'll take pics of the updated retro soon.

You didn't cut the entire exhaust template out? Honda did a shitty job with the rear end exhaust styling on the 7G sedan.

I would've been too much cutout of the bumper. It's only temporary though. I'm debating on throwing both front and rear HFP coupe lips when I come back from training.

Z, it's a lie.  You've driven with me.  Paul and I checked it out, my pedal is moving laterally because of the extra pressure of my stage 4 clutch and quiklutch master cylinder.  The stock pedal cannot handle the pressure and over time, it breaks.

Forced induction is down the road. Hence why its listed under future mods and plans. I'm still undecided which route I'm taking but it will definitely be fun and done on a spare block so I have little to no downtime.

The tires are the same Falken ZE912's from the last set of wheels. 225/40/18. When they wear down, I'm going for chunkier tires. Grip is king.

Thanks Denny. I don't have pictures from when I bought the car but everyone here knows what a stock SSM sedan looks like. IMO, it wasn't worth taking pictures of her in all her stock, plastic wheel cover glory.

Well, I figure its time for a profile revival as I am at a crossroads with a few mods I have cooking in my mind.

First off, I'm thinking of revisiting the quad retro but this time with FX-R's in the low's and MH1's in the highs. Question is, do I do matte black shrouds and all or do I leave the buckets and shrouds chrome? I am keeping the black housing so don't you worry your pretty little heads about that.

Secondly, I've finally got my suspension dialed in and loving the handling but I'm wanting more. I've been wanting to go air for a very long time but felt I've never had the right vehicle to do it with. I don't see myself spending thousands of dollars on an engine build to not be able to use it and I already get myself in trouble as it is with just bolt ons. The crossroads I'm at is I can get a set of Swift springs in a 14k front and 10k rear to replace the shitty springs on my f2's and have a damn good handling DD or, I get a set of coilover bags and manual management (because I'm broke and can't afford that automagic baller shit) and adjust height on the fly when its needed. Thoughts?

I'd suggest getting the new springs first and see how you like them.  You might be satisfied with them and have saved yourself thousands over purchasing the bags. 

As for the lights, I'd probably leave the shrouds chrome.  I don't think blacked out lights look all that great on silver/white cars. 

That's the part I'm stuck at. The end goal is to be on air and I've been looking for deals for the last two years. I've missed out on a few just because I didn't have the coin at the right time. I have figured out that I can do the air conversion for about $1k +- 200 (mostly new parts and some lightly used) and new springs are somewhere in the $300+ range. Were I to get new springs, it would push my air further back. Its an odd place for me to be right now.

As for the lights, that's about what I was thinking. Keep the housings black but leave the buckets and shrouds chrome. Its classier/ cleaner that way and has the OEM+ appearance.

Bag it and get it over with.

Late to the party.  Save and do a complete air suspension replacement, Z.  A system with dampening adjustment would be essential IMO.  It would be worth the coin.

Holy crap, $4k is a lot for a suspension setup when the car itself is probably only worth about $8k at this point in time.

Then again, that's just the broke college kid in me speaking. Just fucking do it!

I'd put that kind of money into the motor. My suspension was $1600 brand new and it works just fine.

If it was going to get thrown around a track, I would put it into the motor. It's not and stock is reliable. I'd rather have height adjustability on the fly.

z can you post close up pics of your retro?
i am doing mine and im torn between blacking out the reflectors or leaving them chrome.
