Title: Re: Profile: CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on February 19, 2009, 06:05:24 PM I'm trying to find a good place to buy black Enkei RPF1s in the 18" size for her pleasure but having a tough time.
Title: Re: Profile: CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on February 20, 2009, 12:43:38 PM Found the RPF1s on TireRack. Here's their interpretation of what the 18s would look like on my car. Also picture a drop from S Techs to give you an ida of how they look. Let me know what you guys think.
(http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/crackerteg/blackRPF1s.jpg) I also found another set of wheels I liked they're 18" black Enkei LS5s. Here's TireRack's interpretation again. (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v65/crackerteg/blackLS5s.jpg) I'm at a loss at what I should do. I'm also considering the Civic HFP 18's and the TL A Specs. Here's the HFP wheels in case you don't know what they look like. (http://www.handa-accessories.com/civic/06-civic-18.jpg) And the A Specs. (http://www.handa-accessories.com/tl/2451-2.jpg) Every single one of these are going for 200-300 each. It puts me within the budget the "boss" gave me. Give me your opinions guys. Title: Re: Profile: CrackerTeg Post by: Blackhawk on February 25, 2009, 10:18:49 AM When are you pulling the trigger on wheels, Jon?
Title: Re: Profile: CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on February 26, 2009, 05:13:13 PM When I get my G.I. Bill money in. Since my school is pretty much covered, the G.I. Bill is money in my pocket. Should be the next couple of weeks. Although, personally, I'm leaning towards the RPF1s. I've always liked those wheels, but I also wanted opinions. But I've also liked the others as well. I'm so fucking indecisive!
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on March 05, 2009, 08:33:49 PM Ok. Now its definitely confirmed how indecisive I am. Now I'm not even looking at those wheels I posted. I'm looking at other options, and decided to not post them to just surprise you guys. In the meantime, I'm installing my springs this weekend and want to know if you guys think I should rock my steelies with or without the covers until the new wheels come in? Reason I'm asking is because the wheels I'm looking at now are a flat gunmetal finish and thinking of getting used to the look. Sort of.
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: Latin2nr on March 06, 2009, 03:40:50 PM Z, the gunmetal looks good with silver, rock it for a while and see what you think.
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on March 06, 2009, 08:27:40 PM You saying rock the steelies without covers? I'm definitely leaning towards these gunmetal wheels, but in the meantime I'm rocking stocks to let the springs settle.

Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrazyCreashunz on March 15, 2009, 04:30:57 PM Nice drop Jonathan! Looks really good, now you just need to decide on the rims and tires
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on March 15, 2009, 05:06:03 PM I need to decide on the rims and come up with the cash for them. I would've ordered them last week if the money I was expecting to come in had gotten here. Now I just gotta wait a bit.
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: Latin2nr on March 16, 2009, 12:50:11 PM Z, how does the ride feel now that you got your drop?
stiff, jumpy, smooth? Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: ibcnunv on March 16, 2009, 01:03:48 PM nice drop but we need better pictures man!!! Whats good with this weekend?
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on March 16, 2009, 01:52:56 PM Chino, the ride is a bit stiffer than stock, but it definitely has an OEM feel to it. Handling has improved though.
Piero, I know I need better pics, but at least the ones I posted satisfied the masses. As far as this weekend goes, what do you have in mind? Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: Latin2nr on March 20, 2009, 11:03:35 AM Thanks for the info Z, trying to get a feel as to what to expect when I drop mine.

Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: JDMJNKY on April 20, 2009, 11:53:55 PM Looks lavish and comfortable. Clean ride, looking forwarded to seeing your mods. By the DA I can tell your friends w/ Mr. Mod Bug. I dig the blacked out moldings.
My vote...18' HFP's...RPF1's if they have a 17/18 and lower it a few inches. Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on May 22, 2009, 08:53:00 PM New pics of wheels, bump in the trunk, and fogs coming soon. Mods waiting for install updated.

Fab is absolutely right. The 2nd gen TLS wheels are identical to these being they are the same width. The CLS are .5" wider. I could call these wheels 2nd gen TLS wheels, but they aren't. Wouldn't do them justice.

Now I'm tempted to do the same thing to my car, lol. I wasn't going to do it at first. Steve (InFuMoUs) has his color matched and Arie was the one that mentioned to me that I should do it when I bought my wheels from him. The day I installed my headlights was the day I said fuck it to painting them. After mounting them up, I'm glad I did it. Now they don't get "lost" in the bumper. But before painting them, I had smoked my fogs and it made my grill look a lot bigger than it really is. Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg *Poll added* Post by: wtcii on October 24, 2009, 04:10:10 PM I cast my vote. I based it upon you future list.
Future Mods and Plans: HFP rear coupe lip, OEM optional front lip, TL-S Sways, custom sub box with sub and amp, upgraded interior speakers, K24/K20 Hybrid with high compression forged pistons and upgraded rods, 6spd conversion with RSX-S 2-3-4 gears, quad projector retrofit, 18" flat black Enkei RPf1, KWSC, custom "scratch proof" paint job. Im guessing the 6 spd, but cross referencing the two, it could be the kwsc too. You have already done some audio but you have also created a thread about amps. I have no clue, who knows with you. Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg *Mod list updated 12/4/09* Post by: CrackerTeg on December 06, 2009, 08:46:54 AM I realized my rotation is a bit off last night driving around so I might pull them apart sometime soon and fix that. I still need to address the wiring for the secondary projectors so I'll do it all in one shot. Even with my rotation being off, it's substantially more light on the ground than what I had. I'll post nighttime shots once I get the rotation fixed.

Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg *New pics added 12/16/09* Post by: CrackerTeg on December 18, 2009, 09:29:17 PM I wasn't even using the secondary projectors to be honest. All they did was give me extra foreground lighting that the fogs already provide me. So I figured I'd free up the halogen highs that way I have dual high beams for the unsuspecting asshole. Besides, my rotation was all kinds of fucked up so I had to pull them apart anyway. I'll take pics of the updated retro soon.

I seem to recall a particular Golf GTi you were messing with after we replaced your slave cylinder.Nelson, the video doesn't exist. It's a lie. Nobody has ever taken a video of me driving from in the car. I would never allow it. Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: timot_one on March 17, 2011, 08:33:34 PM All lies. I baby my car.
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: Mike on March 17, 2011, 09:06:30 PM LOL best right down RT. 9 I've ever had.

Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: Lemonjelly on March 17, 2012, 09:20:33 AM car is looking good Z! Love the wheels and the red shrouds. Makes the car look super mean.
With everyone making big changes to their rides im going to have to step my game up...been stagnant for too long. Title: Re: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on March 17, 2012, 10:50:24 AM Thanks man. My car was sitting in the same exact state for almost three years. It was time for change.
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: Armyguy239 on March 27, 2012, 01:29:08 AM Z, car is sexy, and when we gonna hang out? and aren't you on FLaccords? i never see you at any of our meets lol.... we need more 7th gens, I'm the most active out of 4 lol...we have a meet on wednesday at bird bowl @ 7
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on March 27, 2012, 09:29:57 AM I am but I rarely go on there since there's some douchey attitudes that keep me away from the site. That's why you don't see me at any of the meets. FLAccords reminds me of Honda-Tech.
As for any meets, wifey has me so busy at home I rarely roll anywhere. Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: Armyguy239 on March 27, 2012, 11:47:33 AM oh ok..... yea there are the douchey people on there, but they're all in Orlando/ kissimee.... The guys down here, are pretty cool, we got one guy that drives down from Palm beach, there's only 2 ppl that are somewhat "rough" to deal with.... one is an alcoholic girl that likes to act dumb, and pretty much begs for dick when she drunk, the other is another 7th gen sedan, the owner like to talk out of his ass at times, but thats normal for some people lol... other than that, were a somewhat big group, and we have fun, we joke around, have bbq, drink a beer or two. it's really fun... although when we bring my fiancee's signature meatballs, its like brains to a zombie w/ that group lol
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on September 10, 2012, 10:08:55 AM Mods list updated with one new pic. I'll take more pics this evening when the parking lot clears at work.
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: HEcreated487 on September 10, 2012, 01:49:54 PM Nice update, Z. What tire sizes on the Evo GSR wheels? Definitely interested in this:
Future Mods and Plans: HFP rear coupe lip, custom sub box with sub and amp, upgraded interior speakers, forced induction, custom paint job. More info and pix on this mod? Engine: Custom smoothed inner oem air box Custom "Icebox" CAI with velocity stack Wow @ JT being the last post in this thread before the update... BTW.... Interior: OEM trunk liner Door lock knobs converted to "nubs" Dirt   Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on September 10, 2012, 03:01:23 PM Forced induction is down the road. Hence why its listed under future mods and plans. I'm still undecided which route I'm taking but it will definitely be fun and done on a spare block so I have little to no downtime.
The tires are the same Falken ZE912's from the last set of wheels. 225/40/18. When they wear down, I'm going for chunkier tires. Grip is king. Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: Armyguy239 on September 10, 2012, 04:12:19 PM I'm not jt -_-

Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on December 26, 2012, 11:43:13 AM OP updated. Decided to make it a "from the beginning" post rather than replace pictures.
Title: Re: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: Nit3h4wk C0uP3 on December 26, 2012, 11:48:59 AM Rock on Z, i've been trying to do that myself. I have to email the guy i bought the car from and see if i can get pics from the original Craigslist ad ;) well done Z! ;)
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on December 26, 2012, 12:24:59 PM Thanks Denny. I don't have pictures from when I bought the car but everyone here knows what a stock SSM sedan looks like. IMO, it wasn't worth taking pictures of her in all her stock, plastic wheel cover glory.
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: Lemonjelly on December 27, 2012, 05:15:08 PM Car is looking BADASS man. The only time I ever really miss my car is when I see yours. It looks soo good!
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on December 27, 2012, 07:41:17 PM Thanks Steve. She doesn't look that good up close though. I've got some tricks up my sleeve to fix that.
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: timot_one on December 27, 2012, 09:45:48 PM I still have pics from when I first got it. U slippin' Z!
Title: Re: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on December 27, 2012, 10:39:35 PM I never took pics when I first got it. It was a stock LX Accord. Not really picture worthy since they're a dime a dozen. That being said, STFU!
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: HEcreated487 on December 28, 2012, 11:43:08 AM Wow, the potential of the LX line; impressive, Z!!... (I have the same, but not nearly as nice :()
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: timot_one on December 28, 2012, 11:45:02 AM I never took pics when I first got it. It was a stock LX Accord. Not really picture worthy since they're a dime a dozen. That being said, STFU! Yes they are a dime a dozen. Title: Re: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on December 28, 2012, 01:36:48 PM Thanks Mike. I'd say yours is clean as hell dude. Don't knock yourself.
Tim, indeed. Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on August 22, 2013, 11:30:36 AM Well, I figure its time for a profile revival as I am at a crossroads with a few mods I have cooking in my mind.
First off, I'm thinking of revisiting the quad retro but this time with FX-R's in the low's and MH1's in the highs. Question is, do I do matte black shrouds and all or do I leave the buckets and shrouds chrome? I am keeping the black housing so don't you worry your pretty little heads about that. Secondly, I've finally got my suspension dialed in and loving the handling but I'm wanting more. I've been wanting to go air for a very long time but felt I've never had the right vehicle to do it with. I don't see myself spending thousands of dollars on an engine build to not be able to use it and I already get myself in trouble as it is with just bolt ons. The crossroads I'm at is I can get a set of Swift springs in a 14k front and 10k rear to replace the shitty springs on my f2's and have a damn good handling DD or, I get a set of coilover bags and manual management (because I'm broke and can't afford that automagic baller shit) and adjust height on the fly when its needed. Thoughts? Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: ikethegreat on August 22, 2013, 11:45:11 AM I'd suggest getting the new springs first and see how you like them. You might be satisfied with them and have saved yourself thousands over purchasing the bags.
As for the lights, I'd probably leave the shrouds chrome. I don't think blacked out lights look all that great on silver/white cars. Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on August 22, 2013, 11:55:07 AM That's the part I'm stuck at. The end goal is to be on air and I've been looking for deals for the last two years. I've missed out on a few just because I didn't have the coin at the right time. I have figured out that I can do the air conversion for about $1k +- 200 (mostly new parts and some lightly used) and new springs are somewhere in the $300+ range. Were I to get new springs, it would push my air further back. Its an odd place for me to be right now.
As for the lights, that's about what I was thinking. Keep the housings black but leave the buckets and shrouds chrome. Its classier/ cleaner that way and has the OEM+ appearance. Title: Re: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: Mike on August 22, 2013, 01:37:13 PM Bag it and get it over with.
Title: Re: Post by: accordguy04 on August 22, 2013, 02:02:37 PM Bags are for groceries Mike... I'm totally kidding. Do It! One of my buddys back home is sellin his bagged 7th gen sedan... :/
Title: Re: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: Nit3h4wk C0uP3 on August 22, 2013, 02:08:09 PM I say bag it, i would if i could. :D
Title: Re: Post by: accordguy04 on August 22, 2013, 02:57:55 PM It just so awesome amd easy, no having to pull it apart and measure and readjust. Just get the app for your phone and bam! Awsm.

Title: Re: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on August 22, 2013, 07:04:48 PM There's an app for everything.
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: gargantula99 on August 23, 2013, 07:12:03 AM Lies. There isn't an app for love!
Title: Re: Post by: accordguy04 on August 23, 2013, 09:22:38 AM Yeah, its called Hot or Not. :P
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: HEcreated487 on September 03, 2013, 02:10:02 PM Late to the party. Save and do a complete air suspension replacement, Z. A system with dampening adjustment would be essential IMO. It would be worth the coin.
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on September 03, 2013, 02:21:23 PM Yeah but coming up with $4k isn't as easy as it sounds.
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: HEcreated487 on September 03, 2013, 03:39:03 PM Keep saving? You're two years into it already. What's another two? ;)
Title: Re: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on September 03, 2013, 04:17:55 PM Two years into what? Tax return is when I'm doing it. That is, if wifey remains convinced.
Title: Re: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: Nit3h4wk C0uP3 on September 03, 2013, 04:31:58 PM If not i'll talk to her! Lol
Title: Re: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: Jeff Likes Bagels on September 03, 2013, 06:12:33 PM Holy crap, $4k is a lot for a suspension setup when the car itself is probably only worth about $8k at this point in time.
Then again, that's just the broke college kid in me speaking. Just fucking do it! Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: timot_one on September 03, 2013, 06:14:01 PM I'd put that kind of money into the motor. My suspension was $1600 brand new and it works just fine.
Title: Re: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on September 03, 2013, 08:10:52 PM If it was going to get thrown around a track, I would put it into the motor. It's not and stock is reliable. I'd rather have height adjustability on the fly.
Title: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: olecram39 on September 21, 2013, 02:46:46 PM z can you post close up pics of your retro?
i am doing mine and im torn between blacking out the reflectors or leaving them chrome. Title: Re: Re: [Profile] CrackerTeg Post by: CrackerTeg on October 01, 2013, 09:05:11 AM As requested.
