Good for you Fab, make some fliers out with some info about the forum and how they can participate in your newly formed squad, place them on some windshields and your good to go, I'm pretty sure you'll get some hits.
Good Luck.

thanx man it took me 30mins just to make a new sig pic. luckily i had help from my bro. such a newbie when it comes to computers. i love my "black" oem rims! i have to re do them tho. i was thinking about getting professionally power coated. z how do you prep your rims for paint. i shouldve sanded them down, i know that. but all i did was clean them up with rubbing alcohol and painted them. lol i didint even tape up the tires or anything. lolol

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010 10-09 drop!!! with winter tires on

I scuffed the piss out of them with a red scotchbrite pad and put down about one can per wheel. Came out to be about 4 coats front and back. I also used the "wheel paint" from Autozone. I think Duplicolor makes it.

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010 10-09 drop!!! with winter tires on
Post by: slipkord on October 21, 2009, 11:37:02 AM
Paint has to have something to grip onto. Therefore you need to sand them down. If you did this and cleared them, they would last through many winters.

Damn Z, beat me to it.

underdrive boi! i jsut got them in the mail today. im so excited to get them installed. im also waiting on dc headers to arrive in the mail (bought off lemonjelly)
what hardware do i need to install the pulleys ? just an oem belt?

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010

Not sure about tools but this thread (http://elitecm.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=1630) and this thread (http://elitecm.net/forums/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2424) both talk about how the stock belt is supposed to work but doesn't. The first link has a little more discussion on the belt size but both have good info.

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010
Post by: fabulous010 on April 25, 2010, 01:10:45 AM
Damn. It seems like they are worth the money for the gains you get. But I'm going to have to live with the excessive noise?

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010
Post by: Jeff Likes Bagels on April 25, 2010, 01:49:52 AM
I have yet to figure out a solution to my noise. Dave either. I've pretty much given up, lol. The closest I've gotten was spraying lubricant on the P/S pulley and having the noise go away for the next 5 minutes, then come straight back.

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010
Post by: fabulous010 on April 25, 2010, 09:01:32 AM

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010
Post by: Jeff Likes Bagels on April 25, 2010, 10:03:00 AM
For the UR pulleys you need this:

Unorthodox Racing pulleys: 70" belt
Gates part #: K070694

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010
Post by: fabulous010 on April 25, 2010, 10:15:35 AM
thanks jeff. and thanks z i just read both those threads. and came to the conclusion that its a bad tensioner problem. so i will hope for the best. and will be picking up an oem belt today.

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010
Post by: Jeff Likes Bagels on April 26, 2010, 06:52:24 PM
Why are you getting an OEM belt? If you're installing the UR pulleys, you'll need the 70" belt that I posted above. The OEM 70.75" belt is way too long.

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010
Post by: fabulous010 on April 26, 2010, 07:11:53 PM
Don't a few members have oem pulleys and they're fine. Aren't u still having problems with that belt as well

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010
Post by: Jeff Likes Bagels on April 26, 2010, 07:23:22 PM
Yeah, that's the thing that sucks. Some of us are having problems, and some of us aren't. Although, I would still recommend getting the 70" belt, because regardless of what other problems may arise, having the 70" belt along with the UR pulleys will put the auto tensioner back in spec. Otherwise, there will be too much slack with the OEM belt. So, it's your call. And I don't think I'm having any problems with the belt or the auto tensioner (because I replaced both), but I think it has something to do with the P/S pulley. It's still an ongoing investigation. I'm just recommending the 70" belt as a preventative measure.

guys im kinda disappointed with the gains i got from the pulleys. i thought i would gain more then i did. i noticed more of an increase when i installed the tsx IM and intake

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010
Post by: CrackerTeg on April 28, 2010, 06:26:55 PM
Unfortunately, bolt ons aren't going to give us much gains with our eco engines. If you were expecting those pullies to give you pinned to the seat acceleration, you were obviously disappointed.

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010
Post by: fabulous010 on April 28, 2010, 06:44:06 PM
I wasn't expecting k pro and turbo out of the pulleys. But I was fairly impressed with IM and intake. I was expecting to feel a noticiable gain like when I installed the intake. I mean people mention how the pulleys give more gains then the IM, intake, headers or exhaust. I donno I guess I need more driving time to notice

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010
Post by: timot_one on April 28, 2010, 10:31:01 PM
For me, my acceleration was a lot smoother with the pulleys.  There weren't huge gains in power or torque, but it all adds up.

yea thats true. but i was expecting a more noticeably difference like when i installed the IM and CAI. but after alittle more driving i do feel a difference. car difenetly pulls harder on higher RPMS and does accelerate smoother. thanks again to silverbullet! great seller!  (still waiting on them to come in. ) will the gains from the dc ceramic headers be more noticeable then the gains from the pulleys???

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010
Post by: Jeff Likes Bagels on May 02, 2010, 09:07:32 AM
You may be thinking that the pulleys aren't doing anything because there was no change in the sound of the engine when you installed them, instead of like an intake. I had to really concentrate on the speedometer and tachometer to realize how much more pickup my car has. You can really feel it when you floor it, though.

Title: Re: [Profile] fabulous010
Post by: fabulous010 on May 02, 2010, 09:55:34 AM
Well I haven't floored my car in a while. Plus I'm kinda babying it for a bit. I did notice tho, that my intake sounds a bit deeper now. It has a deeper tone at 2500-4500 rpms and a is bit louder beyond 4500.

The two O ring gaskets come from a Civic Si, but I forgot the part #.  Call DC and they'll tell you.

Correct.  They are from a Civic Si.  I just don't know what year.  You're better off calling them instead of emailing them.  Then you get instant results when you talk to a human being over the phone.  Their number is 626-968-5147.

on the way to the doctors office today my rear passenger brakes started grabbing again while i was driving. man this is so annoying. i have taken it to my mechanic a couple times now. he has checked and lubed my pads and checked the piston and told me everything moves freely. i dont get it. anyone know what could be wrong? its eatting away at my pads not to mention that my caliper is all rusted up from the high heat!

Replace your calipers and brackets.

i shouldn't be worried about the brake master cylinder cuase that would affect all four brakes correct? just out of curiousity why does the bracket need to bee changed too?

Because it comes with the caliper and the slide bolts are part of the caliper bracket.  Those are what could be frozen causing your excessive brake wear.  It's best to just replace everything.

I agree. Just be glad you don't have an '02 Blazer like my fiancee. Seems like you have to replace the rear calipers every time the pads wear out. Piece of shit.
