Title: ND-G500 installed on Stock H/U Post by: thisaznboi88 on October 24, 2009, 05:06:48 AM This is installation is a basic upgrade for people with stock h/u that wanted some Kick from there system. It was not as easier as i though because there was very little room to work with behind the stock H/U It really pissed me off. I had to splice my parrot harness + slice the ND-G500 harness... totally not fun. I was splicing and dicing for 3hrs. I started at 10pm ish and finished at 2am. Anyways here are the pix. *note I only splice the parrot and ND-G500 harness, OEM was left untouched*
*Big thanks for my friend for giving me the harness and Amp since he was trading in his gen 6 accord for a 370z* The harness can be found for 30-50 shipped and the amp is on amazon for 280 bucks. It is 200watt (4x50) and (22RMS old scale) (12RMS new 2006 scale) So 200w + oem = ?? watt system. Good enough for me just needed the extra boost for the infinity and alphine speakers that came with the car. Amp: I hid the amp in the area on top of the air vents. heheheh my little secret I still gotta clean up the wiring so that the cubby hole will close correctly. Its really retard only open half way since the stupid wire is cock blocking it. Title: Re: ND-G500 installed on Stock H/U Post by: Jeff Likes Bagels on October 24, 2009, 11:08:55 AM Interesting. How well does it sound afterwards? Do you think it would work with OEM navi models?
Title: Re: ND-G500 installed on Stock H/U Post by: thisaznboi88 on October 24, 2009, 12:37:20 PM Sounds pretty nice, but I have aftermarket speakers that came with the car so they were really underpowered. There was an increase of bass after I installed it. The bass increase was not like a sub + amp combo but it was good enough for me. When I turned it up to 15 before the amp the car bass cannot be felt, but when I got installed it and was playing the same music the door was vibrating. LoL. I am very happy with the result, but I still have to do some cleaning up because there are soo many freaken wires. I still have to figure out how to put it in so that my Cubby box will still open all the way. It only opens half way right now.
Title: Re: ND-G500 installed on Stock H/U Post by: wtcii on October 24, 2009, 01:14:02 PM I wouldn't have thought it would sound good amplifying the OEM h/u without some type of signal processor, but then again I don't really know what I am talking about. If your pleased, thats all that matters.
