Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: wtcii on October 02, 2009, 05:49:40 PM It should be the same as the diy we have here. I posted a link towards the bottom that is the same DIY as what Thien posted, but with pictures. I guess you just swap the strut and spring and put it back together.
Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: Milan on October 02, 2009, 05:51:27 PM Wait, are you saying that you're getting then used from someone that already has the spring and tophats installed or are you buying then new thinking they come ready for instalation. If you're buying them used and they are ready to throw on the car, you can use the instruction on instaling the HFP suspension from handa-accessories.com:

Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: Milan on October 03, 2009, 10:54:14 PM Glad I could help out!
Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: fabulous010 on October 04, 2009, 10:42:12 AM the install took my friend and i about 5 hours. it wouldve only taken us 4 if the stupid bolt on the bottom of the fork for the driver side had come out easily. we started out with the driver side we removed the pitch bolt at the top of the frok then tried to remove the bottom (longer) bolt and it was stuck to rubber seal on the inside. so while i worked on the passenger side front, my friend just kept tapping away and sprayed pb blaster on the bolt. i was able to finish the passenger side before he got the bolt off. i was soo glad when he came up to me and said here. the fuckin bitch finally came off. everything else was a breeze. its really easy on our cars.
all that is left to do is install a camber kit on the rear and align that biatch. i need to adjust the stiffness at the back too, the front i have on the stiffest setting :) i wanna set it to the stiffest setting all the way around just to see what it feels like. and for the perches i have them like knockturnal left them, on the second lowest. next spring i will set them to the lowest all the way around.... what do you guys think should be my next move??? pulleys, ss headers or cat back exhaust? Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: Mike on October 04, 2009, 10:47:26 AM Cat back, and headers
Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: fabulous010 on October 05, 2009, 05:18:22 PM really? i was thinking more towards the pulleys. i heard that it pulls alot better on the highway.

Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: fabulous010 on October 12, 2009, 11:35:30 AM ^^^ anyone know what im talking about?
Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: CrackerTeg on October 12, 2009, 12:27:06 PM Well, since it didn't happen, I don't know what you're talking about. LOL. Check that all your bolts are tightened up. Pretty much anything you touched should be checked.
Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: slipkord on October 12, 2009, 01:52:22 PM Like Z said, check all your bolts. Mine did the same thing and I wound up not tightening the sway bar. If you didn't do this, you need a hex wrench to fit in the head of the bolt while you turn the bolt with another wrench.
Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: fabulous010 on October 12, 2009, 10:29:40 PM ya i checked the nuts on top. i need to get under my car pull the wheel off and check all the bolts. im thinking it might be the end link. since you have to disconnect it to move the strut. thanx guys i will check that. and will get back to you guys.
i took some pics over the weekend, but my girlfriend has the camera. i will try to post them up tomorrow. please dont ban me LOL AND IT DID HAPPEN!!! lolol Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: CrackerTeg on October 13, 2009, 09:18:46 AM Excuses, excuses. Pics or ban fucker! LOL

LOL I'd like to see photos also but, you my friend have anger issues. That among others. LOL. Back OT, you shouldn't need to pull the wheel unless you think your lower mounting bolt is loose. If you undid your swaybar endlink, more than likely that's your culprit. Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: CrackerTeg on October 15, 2009, 10:32:57 PM You get this figured out dude? One more thing:

Drop looks good bro. As far as your girl being bored, my wife would do the same thing that's why she stays home whenever I do a shoot. BTW, you get that noise fixed?

As far as your girl being bored, my wife would do the same thing that's why she stays home whenever I do a shoot. BTW, you get that noise fixed? hahaha she wasnt bored as much as she was cold. we were going to mandarin so she was probably excited for that. LOL but yes usually i leave her at home too. i actually didnt have time to do all that yet. but i did get under the car and tightened up the sway bar brackets. to see if that did anything.... but the was fail. i have wednesday off so maybe i will pull off the rear tires and tighten up the end links and check everything else. im thinking it is the end links. i cant stand the little tick noises, but just put some tunes on and they go away! Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: CrackerTeg on October 19, 2009, 09:51:43 PM Post up once you figure it out. I'm betting it's your endlinks because my rear suspension made the same noise you describe.
Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: fabulous010 on October 21, 2009, 07:31:16 PM oh really! ya i have had the time to check that out. i should ve done that today F**K!... i need a jack and stand to take off the back wheels to have more room to check it. thats what sets me back. did it sound like it was coming from the top even tho it was your endlinks. its just weird because when i had the comptech springs on my stock struts i had the same clicking noise only on the passenger side. now i installed this set-up and i have it on both sides. its has to be that. because every thing else i torqued it down to spec. only the end links i hand tightened... and i tend not to crazy on those so i dont strip them....
Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: CrackerTeg on October 21, 2009, 08:33:21 PM With the endlinks, I didn't even use the stupid allen head. I clamped the base with visegrips and tightened the nut. And my sound sounded like it came from the top. I actually checked those bolts first to be honest. It did turn out to be the endlinks being loose.
Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: fabulous010 on October 21, 2009, 08:53:50 PM i checked the top too and its pretty tight there. i will check the end links soon hopefully. then all i need to do is install the ingalls camber kit i got a year ago, for such an occasion and get her lined up.... cant wait to have her running smooth with no noises.
Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: CrackerTeg on October 21, 2009, 08:56:06 PM Its a good feeling. Trust me.
Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: fabulous010 on October 27, 2009, 08:32:54 PM so today i got a stiffness adjustment knob i ordered for neuspeed for the cup kit. i heard people were having issues getting to the back struts. there wasnt much room between the top of the strut and the interior panels. i was using my friends knob that came with coilovers for his volkswagon. the one i got in the mail today was slightly smaller in diameter and higher. i was able to reach the back struts slightly and adjust it.
i adjusted it to the stiffest setting. i like it so far, it really made a difference. im just wondering what people have the stiffness settings to. and what would be recommended for the winter. im thinking that the softest setting would be best so that the vehicle flex's a little. no flex could cause the car to slide... Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: CrackerTeg on October 27, 2009, 08:41:01 PM Possible. I wouldn't know to tell you the truth. I had adjustable shocks on my DA, but I was also living in S. Fl. at the time. BTW, you get that noise sorted out?
Title: Re: installtion for neuspeed cup kit Post by: fabulous010 on October 28, 2009, 01:03:03 PM no i have no time after i finish work... doesnt help that uve had the flu for the last 2 days... i should be recieving new hardware for the rear camber kit. so maybe when i get a shop to install it i will ask them to tightened up my end links.
