Title: Re: [Profile]TheSkip Post by: Icebox on May 20, 2009, 08:15:09 AM skip, whats your overall rating on your thermal r&d muffler? i have a magnaflow 14829 that is too loud for my taste and trying to find something a little more quite.
Title: Re: [Profile]TheSkip Post by: Skippy on May 20, 2009, 06:17:36 PM I've always rated their mufflers very highly. Here's the deal. I have 2.25" pipe from the cat back with no resonators. Funny thing is, my exhaust is super quiet from the outside but it's somewhat loud on the inside. It's the weirdest thing...It's very deep and has zero rasp. It drones but not obnoxiously at highway speed. It's a pleasing sound but gets annoying after a while. A resonator should fix that little issue. If not, it sounds perfectly good without resonators. Many people including Tim, Scott, Milan, Piero, JT, Chris, and Rusty have ridden with me and they all comment on how wonderful my exhaust sounds.
Title: Re: [Profile]TheSkip Post by: Icebox on May 21, 2009, 07:05:32 AM good info, i might have to try it out.

That's a confirmed approval. Skip's car sounds pretty damn good, especially for a 4-banger, which are easy to screw up. |
