These will actually be kits avalible for purchase once fab and testing are completed. Oh and that one (the prototype) is mine. After testing is completed it will be coupled to a J36 6SP.

I'm impressed. How much do you think it'll be able to produce at wheel? How much are you going to be selling these once production begins? Your creativity and desire for utter perfection always inspires me to do performance mods on my accord. Too bad my mom has to drive it :P

There is still alot of testing and work to do, but on a built J36 with 6sp 450WHP should be very obtainable.

Misha said the same, hum?  Another gag order project?

Anyway he is 05AccordV6 - Kevin - NYCM Squad

BACK ON TOPIC:

Paul, was the radiator replaced for fitment of the SC?   Where did you relocate the battery too?

I am starting to notice the new fad of supercharging our gen7accord’s.

You should host these videos on youtube…

Post by: timot_one on June 21, 2009, 10:00:38 AM
Very nice Paul.  I bet that will be a nice upgrade from the M62's.  I wish I understood supercharger performance maps better so I could compare the M90 with the M62.  This makes me want a SC.  It's too bad that a M90 wouldn't be suitable for my K24.  It seems that the only suitable application for us i4 guys would be the M62, or the R900/R1050 (whenever they will become available).

This is the first thing am doing after my car is fully paid for  along with some other mods how much power gain would we see with this kit on a automatic?

Title: Re: New M90 SC kit on it's way.....

We'll find out since the first car that it's going on is the automatic.

Update......

Everything is hooked up and running, but can't take it out yet, still need a 45D silicone elbow for the filter (due in tomorrow) and some fittings for the FPR.

BIG UPDATE......

She runs......

Ok here are some pics of the intake, re-worked upper rad hose (will be making up anpother and getting it quoted for production as a one piece silicone along with the lower).

Now for the biggie, granted there is still a shiz load to be done, but took her out for a quick spin around the block and for those who know the area, ended up on RT15 between battlefield and edwards fery, put about 1/2 throttle in her and immediatly got 5psi at 2000-2500 RPM, of course the AFR was dangerous since no tuning has been done yet and the FPR is not hooked up yet (will be done Friday when I get back from Anavesary Vacay), this thing wants to boost and quick.....

damm looks great this is what my v6 is missing lol .That looks like a tight squeeze with the radiator house do you consider upgrading to a stronger silicone type?

Little drive by at 1/2 throttle, hit 7PSI. Took dre out for a little drive, hit 15 again and went to 8PSI at 2/3 throttle and 3500 rpm and heard the detonation and lifted, damn I'll be glad when I get the FPR and RDX injectors in.

It's back, now I have another J30A4 in there , now with a 6spd, so testing will continue. For now I am running cored pre-cats with a stock 3rd cat. I am planning on doing a complete heads to tails exhaust using 2.5" from the heads to 3" then back to 2.5" at the split for the mufflers. Also Will be collecting parts for the water to air aftercooling system.

Oh I wish someone got it on tapeMyself and a few other guys (BMW M3, Turboed RSX S, and a couple others) were heading to Tuner Evolution show for setup tonight and as we are going down the road we had a photographwer in a jeep taking rolling shots, well some ass in a TC was giving him shit (honking horn and crap), now mind you we were going 5-10 over the speed limit on a 4 lane highway, so this ass cuts over on to a turn lane and nearly hits the jeep cutting back in, and he takes off, the RSX was in front of me and we both floor it (I down shifted to 4th) and we catch this guy real fast (I was doing 110 when we quickly caught up to him), I go on the left, the RSX takes him on the right , we both then take both lanes drop speed the other guys come in and box him up for the next 20ish miles, LOL, and he had his girl in the pass seat.

Scion tCs are only good for one thing, their fucking injector clips.  Since they're cheap and can be purchased seperately from Toyota, they're great for use on the RSX injectors.  Other than that, the Scion tC is a fucking worthless pieces of shit that only spikey haired, visor wearing, date raping bro dudes would drive.

Time for a update, made a little change this time and Water jacketed the actual blower to remove heat at the source. This should not only reduce added heat to the charge air but also extend blower life and performance by keeping it cooler.Well, here are some pics of the Water Jacketed M90 on the moch up stand I have. Still waiting on a few odds and ends to install it on my car for testing.

Great idea Paul.  What's your opinion on the water jacketed snouts that Stiegmeier makes?  Is that something you've considering doing to improve bearing life?

I did think about it and could easily do it but the compression housing is where most of the heat is generated.

Someday I hope my engine can be that badass...

I read up on the research that Stiegmeier did and from my understanding, they found that there was a significant difference in temperatures at the inlet end of the case and the snout end of the case.

When will you be doing testing on this new set up?

Well the first one is in and started testing. now I need to start building a tune for my car with it. There is one design change I still have to make, I originally wanted to use "short" adaptors for the mani and SC to allow for customer customazation weather they wanted to use different means of aftercooling or not, and use a silicone 90D elbow at the mani, but the vacume of the engine causes it to collapse partially, I can get by with it to start testing, but already ordered a bunch of 90D cast aluminum elbows and will have to re-make the mani adaptors. The only positive is I will also be fabricating in a 1/8NPT bung for water/meth to shoot it into the center of the mani opening.

Also Bob your core failed, after the SC reached full op temp I did the first push to about 4psi and one of the teeth on the rotor gears sheared off and allowed the rotors to declock and impact each other. I had a couple of extra rotor packs left over from housing porting experimants and so I replaced yours with one of them after cleaning up the inside of your housing, the impacting rotors lets some aluminum lose and lightly scratched up the inside of the housing in a couple places.

And here is a pic of the PS pump inlet elbows. I really need to clean the lense on my camera.

Oh and while doing this testing I have some additional fun, I get to rebuild one of our 5sp ATs, I finally found a source for upgraded clutches and am going to give them a try and see how they hold up.
