THREAD RULES

1. If someone says something that upsets you step back and realize that it was probably a joke and that there is no need to get upset and post numerous malicious replies.
2. Most of us have mods that we would like to keep confidential and as such there will be no negative backlash for doing so.
3. Do not talk about squad members behind their back's or over PMs/texts/calls to others, it will certainly get back to them.
4. There is no Finder's fee for bringing in new squad members so do not complain if new members do not give you credit, grow up and enjoy the fact that the OUR squad is growing
5. We have no rank nor leadership in this squad and it shall remain that way. The numbers are pretty much meaningless and only for purposes to know the order in which we joined.  
6. Do not compare or complain about a deal/sale or service that one squad member provided to you that was more expensive than another's, we all have our reasons for charging differently.
 
OUR STORY

We started out as a group of 5 CMs that first got together on December 1st 2007 and since then, more members have joined that have the same passion of modding the Gen7 Accord. Each member with their unique individual taste. More importantly, we are all committed to help each other out as a team and as a community in this forum.

I know this is directed towards me obviously. Its pretty immature how you took my OP, copied it as your own, then exclude me out of it all of a sudden? Your also making up rules of your own right in which directs me to change?  I never told any of ya what to do in terms of being who you are and showed respect to all of ya for the most part. After my contributions for the squad, your just gonna all of a sudden do this?  Blinx, You wouldn't have your K Frank build if I hadn't introduced you to Paul nor any of ya with your projects and plans. It really shows what kind of person you are....

So, there's 2 squads for one area?  Why?  What makes this any different from the MDVACM squad other than the fact that you don't want to be a part of it?  Considering that it covers 2 states, there's no need to have 2 squads because you have (or someone else that you're friends with has) a problem with someone or someone has a problem with you (or someone else that you're friends with).  Be a man and settle whatever beef you have like an adult.  This shit is not cool with me.  If you want to be anti-social and passive aggressive, do it somewhere else.

like i said earlier, the adult thing to do is talk about it first, rather than just showing the animosity by starting a new thread making their intentions clear that way. I, personally dont have nothing against any of the members, infact I recruited at least 70% of the members of the squad and thats a fact. Internet drama....... I'm just gonna stay out of it. I have no problems with anyone in our squad. I havnt even met half of them. I do however agree with the part about people taking things too seriously. We are a squad full of jokers and we joke around with each other.

honestly, I dont know what the hell his motive is. I admit I've had many little arguments and ramblings with others in the past and have been resolved peacefully, but I've never had any beef with Blinx once at all unless hes the one chosen to speak for others in which they shouldn't feel that way in the first place.

It is drama, unneccesary drama perhaps. Thats fine if you want to stay out of it, no hard feelings man.  at the part where you said about people taking things too seriously, I know your probably refering to it. First starters, I am who I am and at the same time ya are who ya are. I dont ask ya to change your ways so I would appreciate the same for me and the reason why I ask that is because I respect you and the rest of ya in the first place. Is that something hard to ask for? I've said it too many times, yet it doesn't comprehend to ya. not saying all of ya, but for the ones that keep on doing that and which is why things keep getting out of hand at times. I dont mind jokes, as I have a sense of humor like you guys do to, but you guys should know where to go with the limit with me. I dont do things to any of you guys that will push buttons whatever how they may be.

I have nothing against anyone either, but I do recall a comment made by ryann about the thread being his and that certain topics shouldn't be discussed. I didn't like it very much because I feel that this is a family and that no ones owns this (except for the ACTUAL designer of elitecm). This is one of the reasons  I don't post here anymore because I feel like I'm invading someones property. Nothing against you ryann but that's how I feel...

I do think there was a reason for it, not necessarily the best, but a reason.

Most of us in the squad like to keep things lose and joke and kid around with eachother about a variatey of things and this usually does not cause a problem except for one member of the squad who I love like a brother but also I think can take things a bit too hard. I know we are a different, have different backgrounds, and different views on life. Ryann, please, relax, it is not like anyone is calling you a asshat or something else along those lines, you do alot to help and support the squad and I would hate to lose you valuble contributions over something as stupid as the repeated use of a word.

The one thing that I definatly do believe is that a squad thread is a SQUAD THREAD, no matter who the original poster is  at the end it is owned by the squad, not by any one member, this is not like a profile thread or even a regular Q&A or DIY thread, those of course do have a large degree of OP ownership.

I agree Paul, however did I ever say anything about me 'owning' the squad or do I make others feel I elevate over them? Okay, now that I have a better idea of what this is all about, I think it's time for some people to step back, take a breath, and come back when you've cooled off enough that you can be receptive to feedback.  As others have already pointed out, this is everyone's forum.  We are a community of enthusiasts.  Some of you guys have become acquaintances, some of you have become friends, and some have become family.  We all try to have fun and joke around with each other, but all of it is meant to be light hearted and in the interest of good old fun.  I try not to take things too seriously, especially in these "squad" threads, since it's just a social gathering of chatterboxes and post whores.

Obviously, enough of you feel strongly about this.  Why don't you guys just try and lay low for a while and when you're ready, hash this out.  Life it too short to waste it with drama and hurt feelings.

thanks for the feedback Bill.  I also dont know much of whats going on as far why the OP would start a new thread when I never had issues with that particular person in the first place which doesn't make any sense. That person was also lazy enough that he copied my entire OP post in the original mdvacm thread, then modified it on his own. I know that the OP has also been reading my responses because during my earlier responses I would still he his user name "viewing" the thread on the bottom left corner of the thread, yet still fails to make some kind of response at this time.  Like I said multiple times already, the adult thing to do is to talk about the issue first directly rather than being passively aggressive about it like some teenager because I know we are all adults here, growned up and all have our sort of responsibilities....

I would hate to lose members too, especially in an immature and petty way like this, but if it has to come down to it then I still respect for doing whatever they feel is right as a human being and would NEVER exactly what to do.

Wow. Cant believe I take a brief break from the forum and everything blows up like this. I would like to say to all the other forum members please keep your opinions out of this matter unless you know all of the circumstances involved which you would not unless you frequent our squad thread.  This has been bubbling for a really long time and it just happened to come to a head.  We are one of the tightest knit squads on here and you can tell that by how much we talk to each other hence the million pages in our squad thread.  We've had these lil spats resolved peacefully many times before however sometimes things need to be aired out in order to get a point across which was the point of this thread.

Ryan, not trying to call you out but this is what it has come to and since it's already out there here it is.  Yes you have done a lot for the squad and nobody is denying that, yes you have recruited a good portion of the members and nobody is denying that, yes you have taken a lot the pictures and nobody is denying that.  However as a result of all your doing it has given you a since of arrogance that seems to make you think that whatever you say or do is the all end be all.  Due to this arrogance is the reason why the members YOU recruited rarely post here and communicate with the rest of us outside of the forum. I'm not going to name names but Mario already put his name out there and I'm sure the others should be apparent since there's only really about 5-6 of us that post regulary in our squad thread. The reason they dont post is because they dont want to step on your toes and get into a stupid argument with you. A lot of times I have nothing better to do so I dont care. LOL!! But you have claimed that thread to be yours and you do try to tell people what they can/shouldn't post in your thread. And if you say you dont then your a bold ass liar because you of all people should know that since this is a forum there is a record of conversations.

Finally to take credit for another members build just because you introduced him to the mechanic is the ultimate arrogant statement.  With all of Blinx's knowledge and contacts you actually think that if he hadnt met you there's no way he woulda got that work done. Come on man, get real!  That's like me saying if you never met me you woulda never got your car aligned, tires put on and got some good tire shine. That's plain stupid especially when until now Paul never really dealt with K-series engines. I was really blown away that you had the audacity to say that.  I've typed enough for now and all my thoughts are running together so if I think of more I'll post later.

For starters allow me to apologize to Ryann for taking his photo out of the thread! I believe that was a shitty move but the fact that I was posting on my phone and removed your photo so that there would be no mistake about who we were referring to here. I did later realize that you may have taken it as my intent to remove you from OUR! Squad, which let me make clear! Is not the reason for this post!
Second, I did not put your photo back in because you "called me out on it" as if you have some sort of "authority" over any other member here.

Now that most of the squad members have posted their opinions Ill now post(not because I am an authority on the matter, but because I was the OP and the one whose motive is unknown) Don’t for one fucking second think that I am at a loss for words or replies to your pitiful cries for help from non-squad members.

As it has been stated numerous times, this has been an issue that has needed to be addressed for a while. Ryann, not only has it been the way you have acted on the forum, but the constant shit you talk about other squad members off of the forum and over PM.

Perhaps since I am so childish I should air that out as well, but the fact is I am not childish, I am in fact the opposite and telling you that I am not happy with your conduct.(could I have PMed you on the matter and not "called you out?" perhaps but that would’ve just fed your overgrown sense of arrogant squad/forum authority)

Every "rule" I posted in the OP was pertaining to things you’ve done in the past. Although you and I have never had a direct conflict, I’ve had to sit by and try not to take sides in arguments (even though its plain to see that you are taking things too seriously in the situation) but edit my posts because I know your some kind of forum god that needs to have his feelings and delicate sensibilities taken into account.

Furthermore, Thank you! Thank you sooo much for proving my point that you’ve taken things to a whole new level of arrogance and self righteousness. Thank you for introducing me to Paul so he could build my K frank. Without you Ryann I would still be doing shift knobs and footwell LEDs.

In addition to complaining about other squad members so called copying your mods (which I think is retarded) and not selling you certain items/services for the price you wanted, you’ve also actually complained about new members not giving you credit for being the Original Poster in our squad thread! (This I must say is a level even I thought you’d never reach, perhaps I should’ve called you on your bullshit then? But to be honest I didn’t understand your reasoning for it!)
In addition I personally have spoken to you on the matter of my K-build and for some reason other K-swappers that you hangout with now have been looking at my build (The fact is I could care less, I appreciate the help) I don’t appreciate the fact that you wont allow me to communicate with them (as if I care now) because they apparently don’t want to be known (if they didn’t want be known then why would they have brought their rides to the Richmond meet?) This didn’t bother me at first but after you started acting as if you were some kind of authority it started to piece itself together.

To wrap things up this was not my idea. There were other parties involved who spoke and did not speak, I’m just the only one who’s tired of appeasing your delicate sensibilities, and I think I’m one of the few squad members who hasn’t had a spat with you. I will take full blame/credit for the post tho.

To the non-squad members, do not get involved in this, 90 percent of you do not know me, do not know Ryann and do not know our squad nor do you hangout with us/read our squad thread or understand the internal workings. So don’t put in your .02 because Ryann said “your rims look cool” or “I think your exhaust sounds great” and you think he’s a great guy. This is a matter that you don’t understand.

To Tim, I do apologize for posting a second thread, and in no way will this continue to be our new thread, it was to be an eye opener because of Ryann’s Authority as an Original Poster. Please feel free to keep this open for another day or two and then close it because I would like to hear more inner squad responses on this, or I will close it once everyone has said their piece.

Finally, to Ryann, for the record I do respect you, I do respect your contributions to our squad, I hope you continue to be a member of it. And for all purposes I have nothing but love for you man, if you had come to my house I would’ve worked on your system free of charge(I am now, but I didn’t throw in the fact that I cancelled going to a movie with my brother so I could make time for your car) but you didn’t show up.

I never said a word about showing you or the squad Joplin Rd, which I personally believe is one of the best squad cruise Roads in Northern VA.

I’ve never thrown it in your face that I would’ve had your back at a moments notice if some shit had jumped off with your cousin!

What I will not do is sensor myself because a non-authority has become to pissy to joke and hangout with us, speaks poorly of other members because of his own motives and even attempts to sneak around and not include or tell us about other meets (for which I have no interest in anyways, but am full aware of)

I realize why this was done after talking to a few people in your squad, though I had no idea there was this much animosity since I haven't kept up with your local thread as of late.  I was drawn into this by a few people, and would expect to at least be made aware of shit like this since I am one person who is working towards having a positive community.  I have met a handful of you guys, Ryann and Bryan included, and think you're all good people.  I truly hope you can iron this stuff out and act amicably in the process.  I know you guys are a fun loving bunch that like to bust balls, but I will remind everone to not take themselves too damn seriously.

It was under certain circumstances, like that "splendid" phrase which got old very quickly and got very annoying, IMO. This is not my thread nor do I know what is going on. This doesn't pertain to mistakes that have been made by members, but the presentation. How do you expect someone to respect your opinions and thoughts when you cannot even follow the rules that you have put forth. I am not taking sides but constantly bashing someone with sarcasm and satire is not the way to deal with something. Ryann, Derrick is not protecting anyone nor is the voice of anyone here. Apperently you're reading everything the wrong way. And NO, whatever he said was not an assumption nor people go to him to cry about your current attitude. Since all of ya seem to be in this together, I am sticking up for myself like I should. You guys out of all people know that I will not let anyone talk to me in the manner that you guys are now.  Apparently the way you guys are trying to tell me what the problem is by opening a new thread because supposedly its gonna catch my attention when everything on the modified OP that I made that was copied here clearly says its a new thread?



First of all, you guys are the ones who should get this straight. Do you guys think by opening a thread about this just to put me on the spot is going to help? If you guys had the actual courtesy, then we could of all talked about this like the adults we are in person and address issues right there. The root of the problem and unfortunately you guys are not seeing this is that it didn't have to go all out this way. I just didn't expect to be handling somethng so petty as this in this type of manner. And why would you also wait out on a problem if you also had seen it and not do a damn thing about it? thats how problems grow is when you dont do a damn thing about it in the beginning.



It was my thread in the sense of just being the OP, no fucking ownership of ANYONE, I didn't even dictate any rules like what you guys have now. However the reason why I said those things that Derrick quotes were under those circumstances. I saw something I didn't like, so I spoke my mind about it. I dont see why you guys feel you can't do that too. and apparently everyone should feel about it that way, especially for something as small as this, an internet car forum for god sakes and most of you guys still can't speak your damn minds?

You only see this is an attack, even more deny every claim (even with sufficient evidence and confirmation of interpretation) made by those closest to you on this forum is a true show of your character, childishness and evergrowing ignorance.

Your defensiveness towards everyone's posts has proven your lack of willingness to change the way you've acted in the past and I for one am sick of it.

Dear Christ.  What the fuck happened?  I'm glad some people decided to ignore my fucking advice and continue to argue and fuel the fire.  If you guys aren't willing to work this shit out and put aside all the petty bickering, then don't fucking talk to or about each other.  Pull your head out of your ass and stop making things worse.  If you continue to ignore what I have to say, you can take a time out away from here.  It's nothing personal, but I sure as shit don't need this crap wasting space here.  Like I said before, if you can work this out like adults then go ahead and do it.  At this point, you can do it privately.  This thread is locked and will be deleted in a few days so everyone has time to read.

For those of you that tried to keep it mature and peaceful, I appreciate you trying to make things better and not worse.

I'm just going to give you guys an update about what's going on.  Ryann demanded that he be banned and all of his posts be deleted because he didn't want to be associated with "you bastards" (his own words).  I felt that his demands were inappropriate and that he was acting childish and was being paranoid about this whole thing.  I decided that he needed to cool off, so I gave him a 1 month cool down away from the forum.  Since then, he has been texting me a few times a day and doing AIM drive by's (IMing me and then logging out) repeating the same thing over and over again.  He is completely paranoid and void of any sort of rational thought.  He finally got his wish and will no longer be welcome here.  He is banned permanently from the forum.  I hate to have it come to this, but he has pushed me too far.  If he doesn't stop texting me I will be forced to have him blocked from my phone and consider a restraining order.
