There are grills, children's playground, beach, etc. So there are plenty of things you can do. I will be purchasing/bringing most of the cooked foods, we just need you to bring drinks, condiments, etc. I'm also inviting members of our "sister" site, SFPOA.NET which is the other forum I manage.

The park is named for the late Frank Rendon, a long-time community leader. In December 2003, the park celebrated the completion of a three-acre addition to the existing Frank Rendon Park.
Volusia County provided the land and paid most of the $850,000 in expansion project costs. The project was funded in part with grants from the ECHO program and the Daytona Beach Racing and Recreational Facilities District. The Frank Rendon Park project was the County of Volusia's first completed ECHO project. Daytona Beach Shores maintains the park.

Straight up I4 and I'll be there. I hope this will be as good and better than last time, even though I FTL'd over the balcony. I wanna go to an Irish bar that was suggested to me by one of the attendees last time. I love Daytona Beach and I'm sure my gf will want to go for that matter, so count me in +1.

The gf and I will definitely be going as long as I don't have an emergency at work to cover. Her and I are going to get a room using some credit card points she has or some shit. Works for me! Hopefully we can all get rooms in the same hotel again too, cuz that was sweet last year.

Minus a post here or there, I have been pretty much MIA for a while now. I have become a lurker. I read through the new posts each day, but my time is so freaking limited, that I barely post up, unless there is some downtime, which I have not had much of.
But I came to a conclusion...
For those of you who know me, outside the forums, you probably know I am a work-a-holic. No, not because my engine bay looks cleaner then new cars sitting in the showroom, because I literally spend more time at my career, then I do with friends and family.
Due to recent events (yes, still employed) I have come to realize that I cannot make work, my only or even my number one focus. I am probably older then the average age on the boards here and not getting younger, time to enjoy and live life, away from work.
Therefore, I am hoping to have more energy and be more active on the forums. I am hoping to attend the upcoming FLCM event on 8.1 in Daytona, I am hoping to clean my engine bay again (It has been more then 4 months since the last time I even opened the hood and I am not joking about that).
It feels good to be back! Yes - I still have the Porsche and weather permitting, I will drive that to the 8.1 meet!!!

Well, the thing is, I'd be getting my own room with the gf, so you guys will be splitting another room without me. Sorry that doesn't help your money situation, but I know she wouldn't have it any other way ;-)
I talked to Skip and he normally has work all day Saturdays. He said he'd try to get it off, but he does need the money and he may not make the actual meet. He will, however be joining us Saturday night no matter what.
Hopefully Phillysteve and Sean (Rusty) will post up soon and fill us in on their situation.

I don't know if I can make it out tomorrow night. Still going to try to make it to the meet, but we had a little bit of an emergency here. Our black lab had a bad heat stroke after just playing ball for a little while. We had to take him to the emergency animal care last night and his temperature was so high that organ damage is a real possibility. So far the blood work is showing that his liver was effected the most. Me and Nicki are pretty upset, kinda preparing ourselves for what may have to come next. I still will try to make it on Saturday maybe even tomorrow depending on the situation, but I definitely don't think Nicki will be coming. It's her dog and she loves him like he's her kid.

Pet problems are never fun! I hope everything works out with the dog for Nicky's sake, Steve. Please try to make it to Daytona. You are the closest member to there and it's gonna be a blast! :)

I simply mean that I thought most people would share a room like last time and save money. It doesn't make a difference to me because I was gonna get my own room the whole time.
I can't make it on Friday night because I have to work, but I will be at the meet early Saturday and I will be staying in an "oceanview king room" at Tropical Winds resort. See you guys there!

Forecast for me going to this has changed, it is partly cloudy with a slight chance of not attending. I have some schedule conflicts that depending on what happens tomorrow, I might be needing to meet with a recruiter for a new position I am looking to move into at work and so depending on how tomorrows interview goes, I very well may be missing this meet because of it. Sorry, but a possible change in career which would lead to much more happiness is going to take a major priority over this meet. I have all plans to attend otherwise.

I already posted on the other forum that I was not going tomorrow, but there is still a chance I will be. It is still up in the air. I am waiting for 100% confirmation on the above mentioned reason why I would not be there, so unfortunately I cannot give you guys a real answer just yet. 50/50 at this point.

okay guys, just got the final word and I need some information. I cannot be there by 10am, just not possible. How long are you guys going to be there? I mean I can get up there maybe by 1-2pm? You think you will still be there? I know everyone is doing stuff that night, but I am not staying the night, but curious to know what everyone's plans are at this time.

Scott, last year the bbq and meet lasted quite a few hours! Even if you're not around til 2pm, I am pretty damn sure we will still be at the park. After the park, we'll probably take a drive and get some pics. As you know, we'll be in Daytona until Sunday, so you won't miss us!

I was there for about an hour. My schedule was a bit crazy, so I drove over for a few and it was from my perspective, eh. It was mostly cb7's, there were a total of 4 CMs, including mine. None of the cars were next to each other, instead they were all spread out around the parking lot. Not to mention it was too fucking hot.
It was nice to see Chris (Mixspeed) and meet Knocturnal84, but other then that, it was whatever. They did have some good chicken wings though.
