Title: question for those that take their J to the track Post by: rich on June 04, 2009, 11:24:02 AM so i finally went last night did ok (in my opinion). i could not fucking break 14.6* (kept getting 14.66, 14.61, 14.68, 14.67, etc) first run out i got a 14.9, then 14.7 then the rest 14.6. i did a 15.1 one time because i spun so bad and then a 21.0 lol because i spun even worse!
my question is, what are you guys launching at and are you leaving TCS on or shutting it off? i shut it off because i know with tcs on it applies pressure to your brakes for when you're on the road so you don't lose control. i was talking to a guy with a newer eclipse GT V6 with basic bolt ons and full interior and he was running low 14s with traction control on and he said he wasnt even launching it. i beat him twice because he missed 3rd but he still got good runs. his best was a 14.1 and he said he's gotten 14.0 before. my trap speeds were anywhere from 96-98mph and 60' were: 2.467 2.521 2.433 2.402 2.384 2.560 2.591 2.368 2.350 2.440 2.415 2.311 since i am re-doing my system my car is gonna be gutted for about a month and a 1/2 so i will still keep this weight reduction like it is. i was launching my car anywhere between 2-3 grand. any tips would be helpful! Just food for thought though, 05 V6 AT Sedan with a J33 just recorded a 13.7....... Title: Re: question for those that take their J to the track Post by: AV6NHBP6SPD on July 07, 2009, 09:30:17 AM i wonder who lol.
