So i just got my cell phone back in the mail today, but Verizon has almost no service around here. I have heard a few other people on base who have Verizon talk about switching some kind of setting in their phone to use the Alltel towers and get better service. Does anyone know how I could do this, or know where I could look to find this info? I've been searching google for almost an hour with no results. Any help would be appreciated.

Settings > Wirless Settings(Network settings) > Select Network I don't know how this works with billing so don't blame me if you end up with a 9 million dollar phone bill. Post by: Icebox on May 28, 2009, 03:54:53 PM you can also update the with *228, this allows the phone to search for new towers. i previously managed a radioshack when we sold verizon and that is what we did.
