Title: headliner and a, b, and c pillars Post by: rjp6262 on May 24, 2009, 01:57:19 PM has anyone recovered their headliner and or their pillars? i know someone has but i cannot remember who. anyway if anyone has done it, if you could please post up some pictures, the cost of everything(materials, labor[if someone else did it for you], and or how long it took you do to the job) that would be sweet. im looking to re-cover mine mainly because it's dirty and has a few small holes in it in the back of the car. and i don't think a gray headliner works well with an all black interior.
thanks! Title: Re: headliner and a, b, and c pillars Post by: Abailey4 on May 24, 2009, 02:05:47 PM I at one point wanted to re-do mine in black suede but other things got in the way. I know "Rich" ended up going through with it though.

Title: Re: headliner and a, b, and c pillars Post by: rjp6262 on August 06, 2009, 02:32:46 PM yeah i found pictures of it on v6p. its pretty expensive as well so im probably going to hold off on it, unless i can figure out a good way to do it on my own.
Title: Re: headliner and a, b, and c pillars Post by: CrackerTeg on August 06, 2009, 02:36:51 PM All you need is the material, spray adhesive, and some patience dude. Can't be that expensive.
Title: Re: headliner and a, b, and c pillars Post by: rjp6262 on August 08, 2009, 12:56:54 PM Rich got his professionally done, which was expensive. im still trying to gain some confidence to do this lol...not to mention im still trying to figure out how to remove the b and c pillars.
Title: Re: headliner and a, b, and c pillars Post by: rich on August 09, 2009, 03:10:27 PM wasn't that much IMO. it was $300 for everything. that was so long ago and the glue is still holding up (compared to what others use the 3m 90 stuff at home depot, might sag over time)
Title: Re: headliner and a, b, and c pillars Post by: Abailey4 on August 09, 2009, 04:07:33 PM Yeah I dont think $300 is bad at all for something like that. Especially including materials and labor, seems to be a decent amount of work in a tight area so $300 is (http://www.acurazine.com/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif) in my book.
Title: Re: headliner and a, b, and c pillars Post by: rjp6262 on August 15, 2009, 10:26:34 PM well if i keep working like 30+ hours a week then $300 aint that bad after all! i'll have to make some calls around the area.
Title: Re: headliner and a, b, and c pillars Post by: ibcnunv on August 16, 2009, 06:18:47 AM I have to find a shop in NYC that can do that work for me. Since I smoke my cigs in the car my liner is a bit yellowish now and I spend $120 per summer to get that shit cleaned. I would rather re-line it with something like the 5th Gen had...
