Title: Re: stock wattage Post by: fabulous010 on May 21, 2009, 07:17:55 PM i think it would be safe to install the nokya 2500k 55w/80w bulbs. does anyone have these with pics?
Title: Re: stock wattage Post by: cna on May 21, 2009, 11:08:44 PM from personal experience nokya 2500k look good but dont drive with them on all the time or your bulbs will warp and bubble up they get really hot and may cost damage to your fog lights heres a pic not the best but maybe you see what am trying to say sorry for the bad pic (http://img34.imageshack.us/img34/6201/img00114.jpg)
and heres the new pair on high beams and fogs (http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/7974/img00018a.jpg) Title: Re: stock wattage Post by: fabulous010 on May 23, 2009, 01:14:29 PM oh man, ill probably just stick with the OEM bulbs. i dont want to be limited on the usage of my fogs. i have then currently hooked up as my drls. thanx for the advice cna.
Title: Re: stock wattage Post by: fabulous010 on May 24, 2009, 10:23:13 AM hey i forgot to ask you. are u running the stage 1 bulbs or stage 2?
Title: Re: stock wattage Post by: cna on May 24, 2009, 04:39:27 PM am running stage 2 now that are 70w's i believe and the stage 1 are 80 watts those on top are from stage 1 which seem to run hotter then the stage 2
Title: Re: stock wattage Post by: fabulous010 on May 25, 2009, 06:14:15 PM now im re thinking the whole thing. i kno that stage 1 bulbs are 55w (stock wattage). im pretty sure its stage 2 that you will a need a harness cuz these bulbs will melt your stock one.
Title: Re: stock wattage Post by: fabulous010 on July 05, 2009, 11:42:51 AM i decided to go with nokya 2500k stage one bulbs. i have had them in for a week and no problems so far. i will keep an eye them just in case.
they look really good! i have them in my fogs and high beams. They look great though.
Title: Re: stock wattage Post by: fabulous010 on July 05, 2009, 10:09:33 PM well i dont know if they wold melt it. i read somewhere that the yellow tip on the end of the bulbs are what make them hotter. but they run a bit hotter than the stock ones. but shouldnt be hot enough to damage any thing. i remember when i had my stock bulbs on that they get kinda hot too.
i do notice tho if you have them running for a while they start to turn abit amber-ish. but after awhile you turn them off and run them again they are ion yellow again. either way i dont leave them on all the time. everyonce and awhile i turn them off. to let them kool off. some guy from TAC has them and he said he has no problems. another guy said he HAD them and had no problems until he switched to stage 2 which fucked up everything TWICE!!!. i also read up on other people who had them on EVO's, and lexus' and they had no problems. either way i would recommend that people check up on them.
