Welcome to ECM Adrian. I've always wondered what the SE-R wheels looked like on our cars and if they would fit right. Now I know. I'm also envious of the mods waiting to be installed.

welcome man...on the k24a swap did you use your same map sensor? are you running k-pro?

yea same map/maf sensor i used the original engine wiring harness so all sensor attached to it were left intact

and yup running kpro, im running a stock tune at the moment once i get my exhaust and headers, (in the next 2 weeks) i will retune with the mods

got them of some dude in canada that was selling them on the nissan forums i was able to negotiate 1200 shipped no tires just the wheels.

wheels where mint he had them on b4 for about 6 months, he had bought them new from the dealer (retail $600 ea dammm).  no scratches at all, clearcoat was super shiny they looked pretty much brand new.

looked around b4 that and only 1s i found looked like shit, and they always asked for a grand or more but were all scratched up,

i know that for the price that i got these and a couple hundred more i could have gotten some other aftermarket wheels but im happy with these.

specs are 18x8 45 offsett and are aluminum forged weigh 18.2lbs and clear bbk thats exactly was i was looking 4.

It's floating around on V6p somewhere cuz I had to reference it for parts for when I had Paul do mine.

Welcome ADI, I thought you had the S/C in already!!! It seemed like you were close back on the old gen 7.

That's awesome dude. After seeing yours it got me looking around. 1200 is just a bit rich for my blood and especiall if not including tires. Tight though.

yea i have 100% percents of the parts, and i would have had it in on january but i talked to the shop that put my engine in and he told me im better off getting the 6spd swap 1st instead of going thru a bunch of trans since im an auto at the moment

so i decided to listen to his advice and pretty much held of on it, and at the moment im getting the parts 2gether for the 6spd swao   but yea i was set in getting them so i took the plunge... the tires werent cheap either close to 700 but well worth the grip they provide (they are drag radial, azenis rt615s my favorite tire now)

lol whats up, yea it been a while, and thanks it does look alot better then b4 haha and it will get "fresher" in the next 2 weeks

the k24a is great kpro makes it that much better, pulls really strong now that i threw a cai and sound mean... but once i get the exhaust/header i will get a real tune and dyno it again and see what it puts up and compare it 2 my previous stock base run

haha yea i had to postpone my S/C install I have it sittin at Paul's place just waiting for an install in the next few months but, Im currently working on another project that will be revealed in the next week but +1 on the M/T swap because id be far too tempted to run high boost on it. And since your planning on running higher boost checkout the aftercooler guys on ClubRSX are running, looks to give em a good 20whp at high boost, btw how high r u revving it? and is the k24a a 3lobe head too?

Cant wait to see two S/Ced GP sedans on the forum

Damn thats sweet! Yea I know exactly what your talking about with Scuffers design but Im still debating on which round to go,.. later possibly in 2010 I maybe switching to a Lysholm 1600AX twin screw and those things sound and run viciously! Granted it was 16psi but Jmercado was pushing about 370+whp so thats the bench mark but prolly only 10-12 psi for me,.. and in addition he was a stock blocked and valvetrained k20! Crazy! I asked em myself! Either way yea Im thinking of still using the Bell aftercooler just because the extra size of the Lysholm vs. the Eaton But yea the 170whp was a little dissappointing at first then after looking at the complete lack of boltons that makes me hopeful for my build, Ill be pushing around 11.2cr with around 10psi once its done, and yea only revving to 6500 at first til I get K or Fpro. But yea our projects will be very similar once were both done either way keep us posted!! Im hoping for atleast 200whp at first but who knows! Maybe only 180! :-/

hahha awesome! Thanks, the specs are 18x8 with a 45 offsett, they look really flush and aggressive because of the tire set up 225/45/18 but for some reason the azenis rt615s run wider then other 225/45's

and thanks for the welcome

Welcome ADI.  Can't wait to see how your motor turns out after your tranny swap.  It looks like it's a race to see who's going to be the first person on here with a SCed K24.  I don't think I've seen anyone with a SCed K24 7th Gen Accord yet.

they are nice wheels, but pretty hard 2 find and kinda pricey for stock wheels, could have bought me some nice aftermarket wheels for around the same price... but i like them    so if im not the 1st SCed 7th gen i will at least be the 1st twin screw 7th gen lolz

Looks like the race is on either way.  What's the story on the Lysholm SC anyway?  Who is developing them?  I've been doing mostly n/a research, so I'm not up on any of the FI stuff.

Ohh yeah Bryan, I don't think there's anyone that's done a SCed K24 Accord yet.  Cham's car is turbo'd, and while he was one of the first, I don't believe he was the first.

well Lysholm were the 1st to come up with the twin screw s/c, autorotor builds them under the lysholm license and whipple imports them. its very similar to what redshift was going to come up with the "twin screw" charger kit for the kseries but never followed thru. you have to modify the jackson racing manifold plus fab up a couple thing 2 make it fit. just blower runs for about $1750 and you have to get the correct size snout.

the main difference between the lysholm and the m62 is the size and power capabilities, the m62 tops out at about 300-325whp 225-240wtq at around 11psi after cooled and thats its limit on a k24a2 on a k20a2 its 280whp 180wtq uncooled and 300whp 200wtq after cooled, going higher psi u will be spinning the blower past its efficiency. Now with the lysholm the limit is still to be determined by the 1st k20z1 with it made 374whp and 265wtq aftercooled at 16.4 psi    on a 4 banger

yup all stock internals, so still running the 11:1 compression  :o

alot of the s/ced guys stay with the 10.5:1 (tsx) 11:1 (k20z1) compression, even if they replace the pistons to forged pistons they still stay between 11:1 -11.5:1 to keep the low end pretty responsive (anything higher on the compression and the numbers become lower, because you have to pull to much timing out of the tune or else it will start knocking) anything lower and you need a smaller pulley to get the same hp and then you start spinning the blower (m62) out of it efficiency range.

Title: Re: Profile: ADI
Post by: BliNx197 on May 26, 2009, 12:17:28 PM
ehh 325whp on a k24a2 still seems a bit low for it maxxed out, I recall seeing one guy squeeze 330+ out of the M62 then again that was in their signature and needs further investigation. although it is awesome to see these higher compression engines putting down serious boost! especially stock, and I think Jmerc also told me its DD. Need to recheck that one tho.

Shit I may just forego the eaton and get a Lysholm for the first s/cer.

Title: Re: Profile: ADI
Post by: ADI on May 26, 2009, 02:40:23 PM
different dyno maybe? but yea i kno a k24a2 or frank can make 300+ its the k20's that have a harder time getting past 300,

i kno 325+ is possible but then u start spinning the m62 out of it efficienty and chances are it wont last very long 11psi pulley (3.0") is probably the smallest u want to go, with the aftercooler utr guna drop 1-1.5psi of boost so ur looking at what ever hp u can make at 9.5-10psi

im reallt thinking of getting rid of the m62 blower and getting the lysholm but thats 1750 for the blower itself and a couple hundred for the misc parts (snout/pulley/manifold mods) to get it to fit properly so let say 2gs more, and if u already have the charger like i do then u spend a couple grand on it so that quite some change lol

i might roll with the m62 for a while then do the swap since the blower that i have has 0 miles on it and the bearing and gaskets inside the charger have been replaced with "high performance" ones to with stand the abuse from running more boost.

but every time i see the numbers he put down makes me wana spend the extra cash to get the twinscrew lol im sure u feel the same way hahaha

how much are you dropped... do you rub?

Title: Re: Profile: ADI
Post by: BliNx197 on May 26, 2009, 04:21:49 PM
no I completely agree with you for changes between dynos and the fact that the eaton is spinning past efficiency which is why im leaning more towards just skipping it and going with the lysholm, fortunately I paid nearly nothing for my entire kit minus emu and injectors. So spending another 2k will be just like me buying a JRSC new and having it installed and, one tuning session. But yea Im leaning more towards 350-380+whp for my final stage. Wanna be able to hang with C6 vettes after im done,... well only time will tell 8-I  ok yea next time im moving this chat to  the S/Cer thread

im dropped 2.5" inches don't rub at all and my all my fenders are rolled, no pull

the rear after it was rolled
(http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3335/3568113146_3296ff2870.jpg)

u might be able to pull it off depending on ur tire set up, it didnt rub when i didnt have them rolled but i only drove like 30 miles to the place to roll them, and i did it just to be safe and also because i plan on going lower like another inch

Title: Re: Profile: ADI
Post by: Asim on May 26, 2009, 05:06:01 PM
yea it might be tight, i dont care about dropping the wheel into the fender, just getting rid of the gap

according to my measurements outside on my car, it would rub if I lowered it and didn't roll

Its just that these aspec tl wheels got me thinking as someone nearby is selling them for 500$ but they are curbed

Title: Re: Profile: ADI
Post by: timot_one on May 28, 2009, 02:18:35 PM
It depends on the tires Misha.  Different tires have different weights.  You may want to check the specs of the tires you plan on putting on the wheels and add that to the weight ADI said the wheels are.

i didnt weigh them with the tires but i looked up the weight on the tires that i am running 225/45/18 azenis rt615s and they weigh 24lbs so i woulsd have to guesstimate 42.20 lb wheel and tire.

and as far as times, i wouldnt know never ran my car, yet.

and yes i am positive they are 18s and the offsett is 45

the only reason i ran 225's instead of 245's was that i liked the way the sidewall looked better with the 45's instead of the 40's. i tried the 245/40 and didnt like how the sidewall looked tiny made the wheels look smaller. so i decided to go with a 225/45 instead of the 245/40 and im glad i did, plus with these tires im not sacrificing any grip at all, these tires are by far the best i have bought they are kinda price 722 for all 4 and they only have a 200 thread wear, so wont last more the 12k miles which kinda sucks but well worth it IMO.

It depends on the tires Misha.  Different tires have different weights.  You may want to check the specs of the tires you plan on putting on the wheels and add that to the weight ADI said the wheels are.

+1, ur better of doing that.

i mean if ur that concerned about having light wheels, these are light but not the lightest, if ur looking for a good set of track wheels, i have seen other wheels out there that weigh almost nothing, 17x8 weighing in slightly over 13.5 lbs   now those will make excellent track wheels lolz

what about with tires on? and what times you have on them, id have to sell mine to get those

also are you sure they 8" and not 7.5?

i didnt weigh them with the tires but i looked up the weight on the tires that i am running 225/45/18 azenis rt615s and they weigh 24lbs so i woulsd have to guesstimate 42.20 lb wheel and tire.

and as far as times, i wouldnt know never ran my car, yet.

and yes i am positive they are 18s and the offsett is 45

i was asking if you sure that they are 8" wide not if they are 18", couse i was getting mixxed answers on width, some say 7.5, some say 8

my stock 6spd wheel is 42lbs with Michelin primacy 215/50/17 times (threadwear is 600. thats why i got them kinda, partialy couse my parents didnt let me get 225s performance tires

Lol I meant 2 say 8s not 18s haha but yea I'm positive, I think ur better of believing the person that own a set, unless those people telling u they are 7.5 own a set then I would pay much attention 2 their coments.

Exhaust looks pretty good.  Are you running catless now?  I know the header ran you quite a bit.  How does it feel?

Nah not catless, im running a 3" high flow cat 300 cell, that flows 579 cfm which flows enough cfm to support 350whp, didnt want to deal with being catless, he did how ever separate the high flow cat with v-band flanges incase down the line i decide to run catless then i can just replace it with a straigh pipe the size of the cat.

car feel really good, feel a lot quicker, even at lower rpms and after 4k all u hear is the engine/intake the exhaust goes almost quiet all u hear is air coming out of the exhaust and pulls hard
i should be getting it tuned after i replace the vtc gear with a 50 degree 1 from the rsx then i can throw and aggressive tune on it and a 8k red line, and see what numbers it puts down

sound wise its pretty quiet for it being the size that it is,  i do hear a slight buzzing/droning below 2k rpm when im giving it some gas after being stopped and it disappears while im cruising, but i guess the noise is only there from the inside of the car, from the outside u dont hear a thing (from what my friends tell me) the noise inside the cabin might sound louder then what it really is since my trunk is gutted, nothings there at all. i will however be adding some form of sound dampening material on the trunk and door panel, like i said its slight but dont want to hear it lol

yea its hard to capture good sound quality with just regular digital cameras, specially since ur limited to a certain size once u upload a video, so usually the quality gets decreased 2.

sounds a lot better in person but just wanted to give u guys a idea of what it sound like. its not that loud considering its a pretty fat exhaust

Dude I think it sounds good! My only problem would be when I am pushing the car and its too quiet to get my jollies off! Other than that, Ima fan of it! Awesome work! Now just get a 3rd pedal in there and you'll be flying! :-D

yea i think its fairly quiet, unless its hitting around 7.5k rpm that's when it sorta screams a little more, but over all i think it quiet for such fat piping...and its guna be perfect, cause all i rly wana hear is the whining of the super charger when i stomp on it

Hard to tell when it's not in person and the fact that you only did a flyby, but it sounded loud to me.  Of course, you were stomping on it and it was a flyby.  I'd like to hear it at idle and cruising speeds.  IMHO, I don't care if an exhaust is loud when you get on it.  I only want it quiet at idle and when cruising.

i will take some videos of it at idle, and at cruising speeds, (street & freeway)... i will see if i can get some when i get home 2day or 2morrow.
