How To: Roll Your Fenders (The Cheap and Expensive Way)

Well, I'm bored and I was looking through my old Super Street mag and found a section on there that told me how to roll the fenders. So, I thought this might help you guys with larger rims that are rubbing. You got 2 ways. The cheap and free way or the $50 a fender way. I cut out the page to let everyone see how they do it. Sorry Pic is freakishly huge but if it were smaller you couldn't read the text. Hope this helps everyone with there rubbing issues.

I need Cham to bring out his fender rolling tool so I can use it before my car gets painted.

Are't your fenders rolled already?

Nopn. I pulled my fenders in the front and bent the tabs for the inner fender liner, but I still need to pull them some more and roll the rear quarter panels.

Bigger wheels in the works or are you rubbing a little?

Winter tires are 245/45/17 on 17x8 +45. Summer tires are 235/40/18 on 18x7.5 +42. I'm going to run 245/40/18's next. When I get newer wider wheels, I want to get a set of 18x8.5 +45-52 with some 255s.

Would rolling the fenders allow the running of a different offset. I'd like to buy rims with a bit of a lip

Yeah. You're basically giving yourself more clearance for wider tires at more of a drop.

by dropping the car 1.0-1.5 inch, would i still need to roll the fenders? like is there a certain amount you can drop without rolling the fenders?
