just curious how many on Elite are running wheel spacers?

I've been on google reading countless articles and many say they are not good for bearing life, and others say it's makes no difference.....what do you guys think?

I'm running a 18x7.5 wheel with a weak offset of +48, I'm thinking of running a 10mm spacer front and rear

not I. but heard a few people do use them without problems.  


also funny story: sunday at work this tundra came in with 24's and spacers... the lug nuts were only grabbing onto 3 threads on the stud. and one of the shocks ripped a hole in the mount and created a new one. needless to say i refused to work on it.

haha that's funny - 24's on a Tundra oh my!

I heard you can safey use 3mm spacer on OEM lugs, but anything more than that you need extended studs (obviously lol).

I'm not sure if extended studs and a spacer is better than using those spacers with integrated studs that bolt onto the hub (like the project kics ones)

It's good that your doing your research first. I would say if you feel the need to use them that you go with a high quality company (not some ebay ish), and call them and ask for input on what lugs etc. to use.

I've heard of people using wheel spacers with great success.  As you've alread pointed out, you need to make sure that your studs are long enough to use your spacers.  If not, just get longer replacement studs.

I've been thinking obout getting some for the rear of my car. I have the same dimensions as you and with my car slammed it looks goofy because look right down the side of my car and see no wheel or tire. lol

I like my TL OEM wheels with no spacers lol. But I feel your guy's pain. I went through the look with my old EX-L OEM wheels.

well several months later, finally ended up picking up some Ichiba 15mm spacers with extended lugs. I'm due for a rotor and pad change, so when I get around to doing that I'll press in the studs and let you guys know how things turned out.

+48 with 15mm spacer = +33 offset! should be way more than flush and i'm so ready to roll my fenders if needed LOL

7.5" wide rim with a +33mm offset shouldn't require you to roll the fender unless you have uber-wide tires.  Genevieve's coupe is on 8" rims with a +30mm offset and 225mm wide tire with no rubbing.  The car's dropped on Neuspeed Race springs.  Your set-up should give you 9mm more clearance then our set-up.

cool! Genevieve's wheels are the 350Z ones right?

I'll see how it is when I put the spacers on, right now my rear tire is tucked into the fender. The clearance to the fender lip is kinda tight, I might either have to raise the car up a bit or run more negative camber

ended up getting new wheels with lower offset - I've got my wheel spacers up for sale

won't be running the new wheels until the spring, i'm on my winter steelies and tires for the rest of the year.

here's a quick shot on how the new wheels sit....
